The best western Chinese & Cantonese food in the northwest of Vancouver!Welcome to Galaxy Gardens Restaurant, the best Chinese and Cantonese cuisine in Prince Rupert. We offer a family-friendly environment with a casual dining room, fresh flavours, and ge
I used to come here with family all the time in the 1980s, 1990s and early 2000s because, back then, the food was good and had flavour! We recently visited Galaxy Gardens again (April 2016) and, I have to say, the quality has gone way down hill. The chow mien was bland/boring with little flavour; the eggroll was, to steal another reviewers words, "lifeless" and the won ton soup was without any significant flavour. I ordered the scallops and gai-lan, but the dish should more properly be called "gai-lan and scallops" because I had a whopping four small scallops in the plate and a mountain of gai-lan. . .you get more scallops than that in an appetizer elsewhere. That said, it wasn't all bland or disappointing: the lettuce wraps were noteworthy. So, yes, the food is definitely nothing special anymore, but the premises are clean and the staff friendly. When we used to visit in the 80s-90s, the place was usually full, but in our recent visits we were often the only ones inside. I can see why. . .

They have changed owners and name. We had stemmed mussels to start and they were to die for. The steaks were perfect. The place needs some renovating but clean and as they are new hopefully will come in time. Place was full and we can see why. Best meal we had during our stay.

Really a 3+. I had wonton chop suey soup that was recommended by a local. It had excellent broth and plump wontons. Lots of veggies and chicken, pork and shrimp. Full bodied. Clean place that does a huge local and take out business. Iâd go back.

Only went in because I was with someone. Decor is nicely appointed, staff very friendly and helpful. Excellent selection of items on the menu, the "Hot and Spicy" soup was Excellent. On another visit had there Sushi for One meal quite good. All in all have not been disappointed with anything I have ordered. Would recommend this establishment to anyone.

This place is a throwback to the Chinese restaurants we visited in BC when I was a teenager: a long row of maroon leatherette benches arranged as booths and chow mein, chop suey and egg foo yong on the menu. But there was other stuff too. We had excellent lemon chicken and a prawn stir fry, and when I asked for more vegetables, the kitchen made me a good mushroom, green pepper, baby corn and broccoli stir fry. And the price was reasonably too. And in Prince Rupert, where nearly everything closes early, this place stays open until 10pm.

Lee & Ann's is a small family run restaurant. The best items on their menu are Vietnamese but there are a lot of other things to choose from. The decor is simple but the food is good and the service is personnel. We enjoy every visit.

Pho-88 is a nice Vietnamese restaurant located on 3rd Avenue in Prince Rupert. They have simple furnishings and décor with some artificial flowers and Vietnamese pictures decorating the walls. We tried their Stir Fried Shrimp and Squid on Rice, and a Cheese Burger with French Fries and both tasted good and the quantities were substantial. Service was friendly and courteous. Prices were reasonable. We would have visited again if we had stayed longer in Prince Rupert.
