Gehen gern chinesisch Essen. Aber das? NEIN!

Freshly comming back from China, I was missing chinese foods a lot and did not expected much about the Chinese estaurant in Europe. But this one is amazing, food is great, even if some dishes have been adapted to German taste, like the cruspy duck, most of the menu remain authentic. I even could order in Chinese my favourite dishes.

Taumi Restaurant is a new Asia fusion restaurant which have different choices of authentic Asia food from japan, Vietnam OR Thailand like sushi, Pho or curry. There are three Taumi restaurants in Baden Württemberg: Taumi in Lahr, in Bühl and in Karlsruhe
2 out of 6 dishes were good. For the price itâs not worth it!!! The starter was Okk... the we ordered sushi was not tasty. The servant was friendly but the service not good. The ordered dry wine was sweet so they replaced it but made no effort to pour any of the wine into the glasses. Neither the cucumber nor the mango was peeled and Iâm sure itâs not biological! Most of the fried stuff was hard and tasted old. Overall the food was not made with love. It was nicely displayed but the ingredients not amazing. Wonât go back and wouldnât recommend. Also very loud location - too loud for a date or business dinner!

I will start with this location does not take American or non EC cards. If you are unsure- bring Euros. Food was wonderful, limited but fabulous selection that leaned more on the Italian side. The staff was super friendly and left us to talk. This last point we appreciated as we were visiting a friend we hadn't seen in awhile. The wine selection had a wide variety of countries represented. This was one of the more pricier places we have enjoyed in the general black forest area.

The restaurant is good, a lot of options of Asiatic food (Vietnam, China, Japan). The sushi there is quite good, and there are a lot of options for who doesn't like fish (sushi with vegetables and chicken). The price was quite good, but now it is not more a cheap restaurant (also not quite expensive, but was much cheaper).

The 1st impression you get when entering Soki Garden is that of being in a Japanese garden. It is open, airy, green, has light wooden decor and feels authentic. The menu is Japanese primarily and Vietnamese. We had the vegetarian sushi, Vietnamese spring rolls, the glass noodles soup and tea; loads of tea. Everything was fresh, yummy and very very good food. The service is unobtrusive, attentive but not overwhelming. I would definitely come back!
