I have been to this restaurant on a number of occasions this was the very best meal that I have had there. We shared a number Rolls. Everything was very good and the service was excellent. The red dragon roll was exceptional. Starting with the spinach in a peanut and sesame sauce, delicious. We ended with an appetizer with Alaskan King Crab. Great way to end the meal. Congratulations to the chef.

The atmosphere was vibrant and fun but the food was very ordinary. Being vegetarian there were plenty of choices which is great but the taste was very ordinary. Clean, well lit with plenty of parking. Difficult egress onto Algonquin Road.Pleasant, timely service.Very good Hot and Sour and Sizzling Rice soups. Standard dumplings. Excellent "Governor's Chicken " (nee General Tsos) paired with shrimp into "Dragon and Phoenix" Chef's Special entree.Disappointing Mooshu Pork. Had a vaguely bitter flavor.

So we have eaten here so many times. I would previously always give this 5 stars; however, this time our crazy boy rolls were mushy inside. The drinks were unbelievable.... especially the peach sake. The grinch drink was also amazing. Always get the mountain roll. The tuna mango TIL was also perfect and refreshing. Although we didnât do hibachi this time, we commonly do and the experience is dynamite!! The hibachi chefs are entertaining and excellent. My kids ask to come here every other week. We will definitely be back. We live this place n always have excellent service and an amazing experience. Next time , Iâll bet my review will be 5 stars.

Had the shrimp/veggie tempura special. Got there before noon and wide open seating.Hot tea was warm and the miso soup was barely warm....could not eat it.Side salad with ginger dressing was average.Main entree was hot and good, so it makes up for the other shortfalls.I'll give it another try again.

The PL8 has an extensive selection of Asian foods. We had a nice variety including sushi. All of our choices were tasty, well presented and priced right. The service was attentive but not consistent. There were longer than anticipated intervals between being welcomed, order taking and service. But, all in all, an enjoyable evening.

Well worth the trip to Fox River Grove! Conveniently located on Route 14, the New China has been in this location for years. The menu is extensive. I gravitate to the sweet and sour chicken and the pineapple chicken but there is everything fromEgg foo yung dishes to great egg rolls and won ton to war mein. There are chef specials and special dinners. Everything is fresh and the service is friendly and efficient. And of course, there's take out! On street and parking lot parking and the Metra train station is right across the street.

We typically get food for take out, though we did eat in once. Dishes are tasty and no MSG. If you order at least $25, they will give you an additional appetizer-type item free. Just one caution - be sure to put a total on the bottom. Since we were doing carry out, we were not tipping, but left it blank and they added a tip after the fact.
