Visited on the recommendation of a local tradie whilst building our house in the area and we weren't disappointed. Spacious restaurant and wasn't too busy when we arrived early on a midweek evening. Extensive menu and quick and friendly service saw us tackle generous portions of refreshingly tasty dishes. As we couldn't finish all the dishes the staff were very accommodating as we filled our 'doggy bags' !!
Bright eat in or take away based on authentic Asian street food
Decided to have lunch here one Friday. Made the mistake of deciding to eat in. Should have gotten take-away as I noticed that take away orders were being filled long before my meal arrived. They really need to work on their business plan. The meal was OK. Nothing to write home to Mum about. But certainly not worth the almost 25 minute wait. If I hadn't already paid I would have walked out. There is a limited blackboard menu and the single lady cook seemed to be overwhelmed. There were maybe three other couples seated and they all had long waits for their meals. There are other, more polished (in service and choice) places in Batemans Bay. Hopefully as time goes on, they will improve. But, as this location has already seen three other noodle shop itertions come and go, I don't see longevity on their menu.Thank you for your review.I would just like to point out a couple of mistakes you made.1. There has only ever been 2 Asian restaurants take away on these premises in the past 12 years. Prior to this it was a doctors office.2. At no time were others served out of order. As a lot of people come in order then go to Woolworths.3. Around 25 minutes wait for a fresh cooked meal is not too unreasonable specially when there is only 1 person cooking.Yes it was a tad busy when you ordered. We have only recently opened and can you imagine how hard it is to find an Asian cook in a country coastal town.It would of been nice to bring your concerns to our attention and we could of explained this to you. Saying thank you when you left did not make it sound like you were unhappy.I apologize for your "Average" dining experience.

Were were travelling thru and called in for a takeaway. From the lunch menu we ordered the Curried Chicken and Mongolian Beef, both with fried fried. Our meals were a very generous serving and were delicious. Great value at $9.80 each. We were also given cutlery and serviettes. Very friendly and quick service. High recommend
We dine at the Gold Po Loy regularly - for its great sizzling Asian dishes. Fan - friggin - stastic. The best asian meals you will find anywhere. The newly renovated dining area improves the dining experience, but the standard of meals has slipped just a little, especially with the more restricted menu choices. We used to rate this a 5 star, now probably a 4 - but still very very good night out. One of the best in Batemans Bay

If you want to find somewhere a good food, great music and fantastic view, please come to try TALAY Thai Restaurant.
We have been to Talay several times and the quality of the food is ok. The hour and half wait before you get any sort of food is quite a problem. The arguments from the kitchen were quite amusing and made the lengthy wait pass a little quicker. The young girl attending our table was superb and we basically remained because of her service. I felt a little sad for the families who walked out due to the delays in food. My advice is to see how many people have meals when you arrive because the cook does not cope with moderate crowds. There were probably only 20 people in the restaurant. Overall the food was ok, however we ordered satay fish and we ended up with prawns and fish. Normally this would be fine however my partner is allergic to prawns. Hopefully things improve because I rarely post such a negative experience.

We have had a couple of Takeaways from here recently and have thoroughly enjoyed the Food so we decided to Dine in to see what it was like .We booked a Table by the Window for myself and my Wife . It was a Saturday evening . We arrived and were shown to our reserved Table and given Menu's and a Wine List .We ordered a Bottle of Chardonay and for our Meal My Wife ordered the Combination Sweet & Sour , I ordered the Fillet Steak Sambal and we shared a Special Fried Rice .The Service was friendly and efficient .The Food arrived in a Timely manner even though they were quite busy .My Wife said her Sweet and Sour was excellent , with a rich & Tasty Sauce , everything cooked to her liking .My Fillet Steak was cooked perfectly with the steak thinly sliced and melt in the Mouth tender . The Sambal Sauce could not really be called a Sambal (We have just returned from Bali where I indulged in quite a number of Sambals) However it had plenty of Heat and was delicious so I will forgive them for that .The Rice was well cooked with lots of Flavour and full of different Meats & prawns and was also delicious . We will be back .

European front of house staff. Dumbed-down bland Not Quite Thai Food - even their two and three chilli options were mild. The definitive characteristic of Thai food is hot and spicy. This wasnât. I ordered a red curry with vegetables and tofu. A red curry arrive, with chicken. Quite a generous amount of chicken.I pointed out the mistake and sent it back. When the vegetables and tofu version came out, it contained only three very small pieces of tofu.On the plus side, the coconut juice came in a real coconut, with sweet juicy flesh, which I scooped out and added to my dinner to make it passable.Still nowhere near enough chilli. The place looks tired and scruffy. The chrome bases of the tables - or was it the chairs, I forget - havenât been cleaned in a while, much less polished. The menus are falling apart and torn. Depressing place.

Welcome to the Batemans Bay Soldiersâ Club, located in beautiful Batemans Bay on the stunning Clyde River on the NSW South Coast. We offer visitors to our Club beautiful panoramic views, quality dining at our restaurant, a perfect venue for your wedding o
Excellent club with much more tasteful design than most big clubs, very modern. Prices very reasonable in a place full or expensive restaurants. The specials are particularly well priced. Food is good. Alcohol prices also reasonable.Thank you for rating us 5 stars and recommending us to others, it is much appreciated. We are really proud of our renovations as they were designed to open up the club to the views and create a relaxed atmosphere. We are really pleased you enjoyed our meal and drink choices and prices, we hope you decide to visit us again soon. Take care.

The restaurant is upstairs and away from the traffic of Beach Road, so that's a blessing. They do not have a liquor licence so it is totally BYO. However, there's a liquor outlet right next door. The menu is comprehensive. The vegetables were the best I've had at a Thai restaurant. They were cooked but crispy. Helpings are on the large side so perhaps leave out an entree until you see if you want more to eat. Service was excellent. WE had to move from our allocated table because it was directly under the inverter spitting out cold air. However, moving was no problem. We were delighted to be able to have a great meal for an outlay of less than $60.
