Jamie & Timbra Wright are trained chefs with extensive experience in the ski resorts of Colorado & Montana. They bring new & trendy dishes that are bursting with flavors that are new to Johnson County. Savory soups and nutritious & delicious salads and sandwiches are part of the daily fare here. And the prices are on the low side, too. I am personally eager for them to expand their hours to include dinner, as well. Their dinner entrees are even more impressive. Come and try this unique little cafe- you will find yourself returning time after time!!!

The chicken, the vegetables, and the desserts are all terrific. We loved the watermelon ice cream! We've also had chicken livers and country fried steak. The CFS isn't homemade, but it's okay. The chicken livers, according to my dad, are fantastic. They looked good. All of the sides are good. They'll ask if you want a biscuit or a roll - either choice is an excellent one.
While camping at Roan Creek Campground we ran onto this wonderful place. Locally owned and ran. Breakfast for 4.55 was delicious. Sunday finds a meat and three for 10.00 with drink and dessert - YUM - we ate there 3 times in 3 days.

This is a friendly and cozy place with reasonable prices. I stopped in for breakfast and had a good meal of sausage, eggs and hashbrowns, all fresh and hot. They were served with a biscuit that was completely cold, a little disappointing, since just a little while on the grill would have made it wonderful. Will definitely visit again. Service was very good.

Woke up hungry and craving a quick and tasty, breakfast place near you? From fluffy, hand-rolled Made From Scratch⢠Biscuits⢠to crispy bacon on our classic breakfast platter to breakfast favorites that you can't get anywhere elseâ¦Hardee's® serves food ju
We rolled into town (Mountain City, TN) around 11:30 am on New Year's Day --- hoping to get a breakfast biscuit. They had quit serving breakfast at 11, but were so nice about it. They said they could still put together a few types of biscuits for us - and offered to make chicken biscuits. That was awesome - and the biscuits were still big, tasty, & hot - and they also fresh cooked 2 chicken breasts so that our lunch/breakfast would be 100% perfect.I got them to add cheese and a pack of strawberry jelly (don't judge me until you try it) to each biscuit, plus we added fresh coffee... and my wife and I feasted at Hardee's!Hats off to a clean, comfortable eatery and wonderful food --- but mostly to a staff that cares and goes the extra mile to make sure the customer leaves happy. Thumbs up!

I have heard nothing but rave reviews about Farmers and Fish Night so I went. I've been here several times and have never been wowed or impressed with the food. It is OK but I feel it is overpriced. The ketchup bottle on the table was filthy. The plates of food looked good once they arrived. To my disappointment the fish and hush puppies were dripping with oil. We waited 45 minutes after ordering to be served. The waitress was nice and filled our water glasses often. We were ravenous so we ate everything on our plates in spite of the dripping oil. The taste was good and portions were huge. The slaw, though, was tasteless, sigh. The baked potato was very good, excellent really. I would not be coming back but my daughter, who was with me, loves eating here when she visits from SC, so I'm sure I'll be back. I try to promote my small town and its businesses but I cannot, will not lie. I hope if you go that your experience is better. I did like that I ran into a lot of friends and family and enjoyed their company.

Mike's was given the #2 slot in barbecue in East Tennessee by Blue Ridge Country magazine, so my husband, sister, and I were eager to try it. We were disappointed, because the shaved pork was very, very fatty. I don't expect super-lean barbecue from a place that shaves the meat, because of course the fat is part of the process, but this was nearly ALL fat. The sides--slaw, rolls, fries--were great, and those are what I ate. The portions are generous, but I lost my appetite trying to find some pork lean enough to eat. I'm not going to say I'll never go back, but next time I'll try a sub instead.

Fantastic food, fantastic service and fantastic views! We have had delicious meals every time we have been. The quality of the food is great and itâs an added bonus to have the chef come out every time to see how the meal is. My favorite is the Cesar salad served in a Parmesan cheese crisp bowl. It is evident in his meals and the presentation that he enjoys what he does. Donât hesitate to visit Vistas. We will be back!
