Hunter's Head Tavern was recommended to me by a co-worker from the UK, so four of us stopped in for lunch last Saturday and everything was excellent. We sat outside on the covered patio. The food was superb, as was the atmosphere, the service and the ale(s). We all ordered fish and chips and were not disappointed. Can't wait to go back (probably soon) so we can order shepherd's pie or one of the other dishes. Highly recommend. The only thing I could suggest would be to add another bathroom or two.

We came for brunch. After complimentary and delicious pastries, I order steak and eggs and my wife ordered an omelette. Both were fabulous. Tasty, nicely portioned. The service was friendly. One disappointment. It was not possible to order any espressos et because the espresso machine was broken since âtwo weeksâ! Really. Fix it!Dear UE_DC64,We are so happy that you enjoyed brunch at our tavern! We also apologize about our espresso being unavailable when you joined us; this is something that has since been corrected. We hope that you are able to join us in the tavern again soon, as we certainly owe you an espressoâ especially with the cooler weather coming to stay. All Our Best,The Red Fox Inn & Tavern Team

If you are looking for a relaxing and delicious tea experience (or even just lunch), be sure to check out this lovely spot. This is the third time I've had tea there, and the food is delicious, lots of teas to choose from (you get to sniff them first to pick your tea choice), and it's a great place to visit with friends. Price is quite reasonable for the full tea which includes sandwiches, delicious scones, fresh fruit and sweet treats. Plus the gift shop has LOVELY and interesting things. Will look forward to returning again soon. Thanks very much for posting this review! We're glad you've enjoyed your visits here. Hope to see you again soon!

We went for a couples night out. Place is very cute, lots of atmosphere. Unfortunately it was raining or we would have sat outside. We were not greeted when we came in even though there was staff not doing anything. Once we were seated we realized we were right by the section where the staff congregates to socialize so we asked to move. Our server said 'sure' and then turned away to continue chatting while we picked up our own glasses, cutlery, napkins, etc. and moved. Once we got our food though we were very happy. I had the risotto and my boyfriend had the chicken. Both yummy.I apologize for the insensitive behavior of the servers. The manager on duty and servers have been counseled to be mindful of congregating in area before and now we will enforce it through other measures. Thanks for letting us know and I hope your next visit will illustrate some improvement.

We enjoyed our meals, the prices were reasonable, the wine was very good and reasonably priced also. The menu was somewhat limited, not a lot of specials. Overall we would go back, not for a special occasion. The service was excellent, the bathroom needed attention.

We stopped here on the road to TN. Great breakfast, friendly staff, quick service. A lot of community members in for Sunday breakfast. Nice place.
Located in a highly customized 1962 Leyland Double Decker bus, the unique thing about Johnny Monarchâs menu is what is ânotâ being served. There is nothing fried, no commercial bags of chips or soft drinks. Its menu offers two distinct types of cuisine. O
My friend and I were traveling home to Northern VA after a weekend in the Shenandoah Valley. We were hungry and got off at the Marshall exit after seeing several restaurants advertised on the exitâs food sign. Unfortunately it was close to 7;00 pm so most restaurants were closed or were in the process of closing. Maybe I should say âfortunatelyâ since we stopped at Johnny Monarchâs bus to eat and even though they close at 7:00 and it was 7:09 pm they served us! Wow were we LUCKY...the food was awesome! We ordered the chicken spiedle and the American pie. Both were totally delicious, we were blown away!! We canât wait to plan our next trip there. If you are in the vicinity you must stop in and visit this place you wonât believe the quality, freshness and unbelievable taste of the food....you wonât be disappointed!!
