On our way from Chautauqua Lake to Buffalo and looked for a beachside restaurant. Found Turtle Joe's in Angola. The food was good and wait staff was friendly. I had the Phllly Cheese Steak sandwich (different from what you get in Philadelphia but good) and my wife had a salad with chicken. If you are looking for a place to have lunch with a beach view, Turtle Joe's is your place.

We visited the Castaway's Waterfront Bar and Grill last week while we were staying at a cottage in Angola, New York. We had small children with us and eight adults. Even though this restaurant is rated the second best restaurant in Angola, NY, I would still give it an average rating because the physical plant of the restaurant was very worn and dirty. The food was decent bar food and the view of Lake Erie is very nice, but if the bar was compared to a Buffalo waterfront restaurant it would rate very low.

Previously we stopped here for the Travel Plaza and gas. Today we tried their restaurant. It was surprisingly good because we didn't know what to expect. Our food was delicious and the price was very reasonable. The waitress was attentive and friendly. The place wasn't busy, but they could put Denny's out of business with their great food. We would recommend this place to all our friends and family. When we're In the area again, we'll stop there to eat.

This trip we had the Beef on Weck, just perfect, fresh Weck Bun, beef was very tender and well seasoned, not over-seasoned.The texture and taste was out of this world, complemented by the horse radish and au jus.The portion was huge!This was a carryout order so I cannot speak to the service.The diner is always very clean and staff is a big help,consistently friendly and up to date on the menu and specials.Hello, we are so happy you enjoyed the Beef on Weck sandwich during your most recent visit, it is one of our favorites and comes in sliders also! If you are looking for great chicken wings, buffalo style, this is they place to go. They are crispy and sauce is amazing!!!!! Blue cheese is beyond fantastic. Fish fry is really good too. Bar is in front and there is a divider between bar and dining. I think it is kid friendly but you do hear bar talk from dining space. Best wings by far

This was my second visit in one week and as usual the food was delicious and the wait staff is very friendly and helpful. I had the fried perch dinner, which consisted of 5 nice sized perch with sides. The crab cakes were also a huge hit and my cousin had the steak and shrimp dinner and greatly enjoyed it. Last week my sister had the crab stuffed shrimp and said she would definitely go back for that choice again. The desserts are delightful and must be tried, even if you have to bring them home. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for their food and wait staff.

Stopped here one night for dinner based on some local recommendations. Was pleasantly surprised by the food and the staff. Everything appears to be home cooked and everything we had at our table was very good - everyone cleaned their plate.Evidently, they are locally known for their baked goods, and seeing them in the cases I can understand why. Unfortunately they were so large (think two people for each serving) and we were so full from the great meal - we had no room. Maybe next time.

We have visited Tom's Family Restaurant from time to time over the years, as it is a convenient turn-off from I-90, at the Irving/Silver Creek exit. We have alternated between Tom's and Aunt Millie's, which is just down the street. Tom's has really good fish specials, mainly on Fridays. Their baked goods are amazing. It is a true diner complete with friendly waitresses, big portions and homey entrees. Recommended.
