Die Weinstube "Im Hahnegässel" ist eine sehr schöne, kleine, gemütliche Weinstube mit Tradition.Wir haben schon etliche schöne Stunden in der Weinstube bei Pfälzer Gemütlichkeit verbracht! Das Speiseangebot ist klein, ausgewählt und regionaltypisch und wird durch Tagesangebote ergänzt. Alle Speisen werden frisch, von der Wirtin Ulrike Bieth persönlich, zubereitet. Die südlich-lauen Pfälzer Sommerabende genieÃen Sie im Innenhof des "Hahnegässel" bei einem frischen Nizza-Salat aus dem wechselden Angebot, einem Münsterkäse "Winzerart" mit frischem Bauernbrot oder einem Baguette "mit Knobi und Zwiebeln". Dazu vielleicht ein saftiger, bukettreicher, halbtrockener Kerner Kabinett aus der Weinlage Zechpeter - da müÃte Ihr Glück eigentlich vollkommen sein!Sehr zu Empfehlen!Ãffnungszeiten:Mittwoch, Freitag, Samstag und Sonntag jeweils ab 17.00 Uhr Warme Küche bis 22.00 Uhr Reservierungen möglich!

Went there last month with my parents and close family to celebrate my parents wedding anniversary. They've been to this place before and liked it, especially since they have some unusual vegetarian dishes on offer. Unfortunately on this occasion this was the memorable and special occasion we would have hoped for. It was seven of us and we were sat at a huge table for12-14 people right in front of the entrance. So we were hardly able to hold a conversation as we were just too spread out at that huge table, but were freezing every time someone came through the door. The food was alright, but not really that extraordinary. The overall setting of the restaurant is nice, but it is a huge venue, better suited to deal with busloads of customers than with a small group. Not sure I will come back

In the quaint old streets of St Martin this is quite a revolution for the local wine business - an ultra-modern hotel, accessed from the rear by a bridge over a huge rock garden and outdoor patio, with direct entry from Maikammerer street level into a large wine shop and wine bar.This is the perfect place for sampling local and other German wines at normal prices. And then you can buy your favorite bottle in the shop.And if driving is not an option afterwards, just stay here, at the hotel above! Perhaps most spectacular is the rear rock garden with a large patio with sofas and easy chairs beside an enormous poster with pictures from the local wineries and vineyards.Large wine barrels placed on the steep garden - that some may find a bit kitsch - form a tinkling waterfall. Food is available but we really came here for the wine tasting.

Wir sind spontan dort eingekehrt und waren sowohl von der Freundlichkeit der Eigentümer als auch von dem Essen beeindruckt. Echte pfälzische Gerichte mit einer groÃen Auswahl von selbstproduzierten Weinen. Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis ist hervorragend. Fazit immer wieder gerne.

The food here is worth every penny (it tends to be on the pricey side) - excellent quality, portions, presentation. We had a fantastic table on their terrace which is covered by a giant foldable umbrella. Unfortunately, it doesn't keep the cold out and towards the end of the meal, it got way too cold even for me (I tend to sit out in shorts in 15°). Heaters had been removed because the umbrella is now opened during the day. There is indoor seating available, of course.Service was very friendly but obviously still in training.I would definitely go again!

Had a family re-union, did a hike through the vinyards in the autumn sun ending up in Sesel (very nice).Nice menu with a good selection, everybody found something, served in well-sized portions, deliciously prepared.HOWEVER the service was not able to cope with the demand so we had to wait for orders being collected, drinks served, food served. We waitied for almost an hout to get our food which was a desaster as we were 4 adults and 6 children between 2 and 11. Why stupid? Because we did order well before our neighbors who had pretty much the same except the kids selection - no kids - but got served half an hour before us. By the time we got our food, our kids were running riots and we couldn't enjoy our meal anymore. stupidstupidstpid, expecially as two of the kids dishes got served as the last two for the whole table. On the upside, nobody did complaint about the "lively" kids....still, one star off the rating for that.Dear FRuudy,thank you for taking your time to assess our Gasthaus Sesel. We always try hard to make your stay as comfortable as possible. But it is also good to get a notice that something didnât work out well as we can then try to change things and get better this way. We are very sorry that you havenât been satisfied with your visit in our Gasthaus Sesel. We can understand your anger and your lack of understanding because of the long wait which is quite difficult, especially for the children. Unfortunately, today we canât understand anymore how this could happen. But still we use your critique as an opportunity to talk about this topic with the members of service and kitchen staff and to point out the special needs of smaller children.We think that everyone deserves a second chance.
