After passing Joao D'Nole the main road continues to Mato Grande; from here you will have a great view on the east coast of Brava. Once you arrive in Fontainhas the return to Nova Sintra will be in the car with a stop at the delightful village of Cachaca (if you want to get something to drink there is a small barettino - also here it produces an excellent cheese!).
