I live just a few miles away and every once in a while I will take the back roads to go through the grist mill especially during the fall. I haven't been when I was actually open for a while but last time I did they were nice and friendly. It's well worth the trip to come and see it especially during the fall it's really beautiful there.

We were looking forward to visiting the Hulda Klager Lilac Gardens as we'd only been there once many years ago...in the rain! We so enjoyed our visit on Mother's Day! The docents were extremely hospitable and informative. Since I'd previously read the biography about Hulda Klager's remarkable life, it was a treat to be able to tour her home. By Mother's Day the early-mid blooms were either finished or waning but there were still many beautiful lilacs in bloom. Our favorites were Vespers and Mr. Lincoln. There just isn't any other lovely spring fragrance as a lilac!

This place is amazing. The coolest thing is you get to pick out the Tulips for 50 cents each. I had so much fun!!! I will definitely be going back!!
