Woburn Abbey and Gardens are currently undergoing a major refurbishment programme and will reopen to visitors in Spring 2022. Woburn Abbey has been the home of the Earls and Dukes of Bedford for nearly 400 years and is now home to the 15th Duke and his family. Alongside the world class collection of art, the house contains the fascinating stories of the people who have shaped the history of both the Abbey and the nation; including the ‘creation ‘ of Afternoon Tea. The Gardens, with a twenty year restoration programme, are of equal splendour with 28 acres of Repton designs to be explored and discovered.

We were honoured to be invited to Shaan Sahonta and Daniel Wood's Wedding in the Sculpture Gallery at Woburn Abbey. The Sculpture Gallery is magnificent, an ideal setting for Shaan and Daniel's Wedding, and set in the wonderful sprawling grounds of Woburn Abbey gives it an ethereal feeling. Words are not enough you need to visit Woburn Abbey, its grounds and the Sculpture Gallery for yourself - and soon!

Great spot with a great, friendly atmosphere. Very welcoming staff and crowd. It felt like popping round a friends for a drink! Great Gin and Ale selection.

We came here as a party of 11 in our school minibus and had the most fantastic day. Here are some comments from my students.. ‘The monkeys were jumping all over our minibus..it was so cool!’ ‘I loved the giraffes, there were LOADS of them! And cute baby ones !’ ‘ The rhinos with the big bottoms were my favourites’ ‘ I liked the ice-cream and going shopping in the gift shop’ ‘ I liked going on the swan boats’ We all had an amazing day. Everywhere was very clean and all of the animals looked very well cared for. Can highly recommend as an excellent day trip for schools. The school admission prices are very generously discounted too.

We managed to visit twice in 2020 and what a lovely time we had! Pool was warm and perfect for a gentle swim. (We went during the adult lane swim). Friendly volunteers who had a chat with us both times. Good social disctancing measures. I'm so glad they were able to open during this pandemic and likewise that we managed to go twice. Not that many lidos left in the UK, especially ones open during 2020, and this is just such a wonderful one!
