Me and my friends went from Puerto Viejo to La Fortuna with Exploradores Outdoors. My friends did the rafting during the day, while I took the transportation option without the rafting (instead I waited at the visitors center, due to medical conditions). The information I got beforehand about this option did not correspond at all to how it all turned out. I was also charged 69 dollars (!!) for this while the whole rafting-option only costed 89. I have tried to contact Exploradores Outdoors, both the salesman directly and also the general email, but I get no answers at all. For this reason, I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone (and it's a shame because the rafting itself was very fun according to my friends).

Through fine technique and special ingredients your body will be exfoliated, massaged, and stretched through an invigorating session. This massage contains all of the ancient oriental knowledge and will guide you into body awareness, detox, and deep relaxation.
I was in need of a really good massage and I used trip advisor to make my decision for me. Nyree replied quickly to my query and we arranged an appointment. When I arrived I was given a three page questionnaire to fill out which gave me some reassurance that this was a good professional outfit.
I had a quick shower at the venue and then the massage began. I almost immediately felt completely safe as I was massaged and manipulated into various positions. Afterwards there was a nice warm ginger drink available and nyree kindly took the time to answer some of my questions.
This is a case of something being expensive for a very valid reason and is certainly worth more than any number of mediocre massages.

If you want to learn Spanish in Costa Rica, make sure that you will have an authentic cultural experience. If you wanted to study French in France, wouldn't you prefer that the school be owned by French people? Or if you studied German in Germany, wouldn't you choose a German-run school? The CRLA is one of the few schools completely owned and operated by Costa Ricans and all of our teachers and staff are native Spanish speakers. We will share our culture with you while you learn our language.Excellent resultsWe make sure that you are making the most of your stay and learning Spanish quickly and easily, no matter what your age, background or Spanish skills are. Our practical methodology , innovative books & intimate class size ensures excellent results. We will even offer you extra classes at no cost, if necessary, to ensure that you will achieve your language goals.
Studied Spanish here for a week before being placed on a volunteering project. CRLA arranged pick up from the airport and although the transfer arrived late the lady was friendly and the vehicle was clean and comfy. The host family selected by CRLA were friendly and welcoming and my room was comfy, clean, tidy and had all the necessary facilities - also very close to a bus route to the school. The CRLA building school itself is large, clean and tidy and offers a large outdoor area, a café as well as extra classes such as dance classes, cooking classes and yoga. I had a course of 5 hour Spanish classes per day from Monday to Thursday. The classes included good content, a text book and were well organised by the teacher who was also very friendly and worked at a pace the class could keep at. The reception staff in the school were also very helpful and welcoming and helped us on several occasions with booking trips/excursions, directions and general queries. The volunteer staff here were very helpful and explained to us about the projects and how to get there. Staff member Anita couldn't have been more helpful when I was placed on a project I didn't really want to do (Buena Vista Turtle Project) due to others being full and after my first week I found myself very unhappy. Anita helped me to organise my way home, staying with my host family in San José and also how to take the bus to elsewhere in Costa Rica in my extra time. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a school to do a Spanish course at whilst in San José and looking to volunteer, lots of opportunities to meet people here. However just be sure you find out everything about the volunteer projects before you depart to them.

In Camino Travel we offer the most professionally created Costa Rica experiences. You tell us what you like and we will design it with you!
Our honeymoon was great from beginning to end thanks to Camino Travel. Transportation, lodging, and the guides were everything we could have asked for! The communication was great between countries (we were visiting from the US), the fees were very reasonable, and they added multiple personal touches to our trip along the way. A bit thanks to Noelia and Jonathan (our guide!). We would work with Camino in the future and recommend that anyone use their services when traveling to Costa Rica.

Manuel Barrantes is a person committed to the ecological well-being of planet earth. Topolandia is an example of how man using imagination & ingenuity can construct a dwelling within the land's natural features.
Topolandia is a series of mined tunnels connecting various rooms, all excavated using hand tools, buckets & wheel barrow. Where hard rock was discovered, rather than removing them, they were incorporated into imaginative wall carvings.
Visiting Topolandia, listening to Manuel's daughter Crystal's presentation & touring the excavations is an engrossing experience that the whole family will enjoy.
The visit lasts around 2 hours, the entrance fee is $10 & worth every dime.

Don't let the name fool you - like we were. We actually never made it to the Jazz Cafe, however......EVERYBODY we met in San Jose/Escazu and surrounding areas recommended this relatively newer place to listen to live music or dancing to live music. We found it just down the road from the Multiplaza and our hotel in Escazu (Marriott Courtyard) on our last night. We missed Reggae night (a local favorite), jam sessions, rock/modern/pop/mixed. It's NOT a jazz club (like the name suggests). It's an everything club where people come from all over to check out and hang out and have a good time. If your in the area, check out the line-up and GO!

Our Project Riish & Toosh was founded by Rishane Isaac & Jorge Mena, in order to lead people to God through our afro costa rican art, promote the Afro Costa Rican heritage and support through our social work those in need.
I had a wonderful opportunity to spend some time with Jorge while vacationing in Panama City, Panama. He is a great young man with passion for his art. I love the art & I have to say it is quite refreshing to see their culture expressed through the way Rish & Toosh create it. The art is inspiring to say the least & Rish & Toosh understand God is their "Captain". The art is for a great cause & I would love to get some hanging on my walls in the future! Of Course there are many good artists with good art work in the world, but with Rish & Toosh, you get great art work from great people who just want to help the world.
