Great day for a road trip. Had not been here for over 20 years, really noticed the way water changes the landscape, power of the river never fails to excite and make the heart race. Intermittent rain showers and sunshine made it a gorgeous day. Walkways were smartly arranged to get the best views and the informative plaques helped envision the hard role that men and horses played in creating this massive structure which was the first of its kind in Manitoba to provide power for the growing City of Winnipeg. Lots of parking, picnic areas, bathroom facilities and walking trails. You should go.....

If you are hungry after your float down river it is worth stopping at the club for something to eat. Good food and large portions for very reasonable prices! I highly recommend the clubhouse, it is huge and includes real chicken and not sandwich meat . Almost too big to bite into! t
