Of all the bridges in Montgomery, this was our favorite. But definitely take note of the comments made by Edward W above! Some additional things to note: 1. Both Hill West Road and West Hill Road are completely different roads, running parallel to each other, connected by Creamery Bridge Road, where the bridge is located. Best to take West Hill Road, and take a left on Creamery Bridge Rd. Otherwise, from the other direction, there is a steep rocky downhill as you approach the bridge. 2. To navigate the steep uphill climb after you cross the bridge, it'd best to have a 4-wheel drive vehicle. 3. The bridge was originally called the Creamery Bridge, and was completely renovated in 2009. Some older websites say that the bridge has been closed down and not in use -- but those were written prior to the renovation. It is completely safe to drive over, and the setting is awesome. Just be prepared for the rough terrain around it!

Passageway through the mountains with fabulous fall foliage.
My wife and I wanted to take a foliage drive along this less well traveled road - it was awesome! Most of the drive is on gravel roads, typical for northern New England, but the road is very well maintained. This is a gorgeous drive in the Fall and you'll see lots of suspended plastic lines in sugar orchards and some sugar houses as well. We saw very little traffic and had a gorgeous day - loved it!!

This Vermont lake is a good place to view fall foliage.
This was our third visit this year, and with the best weather of the year it was perfect. Not too many campers, so quiet. Thank you to the Park staff and volunteers who do such a great job. See you next season !
