My niece and I took the 50 minute A route guided tour, an introductory tour of the Adamovo staveni renaissance chateau. We were escorted through a good number of richly furnished rooms by an extremly knowledgable young lady who answered all questions from a history buff visitor present in our group. The tour includes a visit to the beautiful music pavilion. No photography was allowed except for the music pavilion.

The world largest nativity scene is number one attraction in this small but very nice museum. You can watch the scene with some figures moving and listen to informative commentary (also in Engllish). You will be enchanted even if your childhood years are far away. Plus there are other expositions to be seen... mostly of local importance, but the presentation is very good and the staff is helpful.

There is so much here. There is the history of still and moving pictures as see in camera and projector technology, there are Exhibitions of a number of photographers and glass makers, some movies to watch, a good little cafe, places to sit and a good gift shop. It is also a very interesting building.

Out stand review for this hotel. Food great staff 5 star and room clean and good value for kids with the water park next door with free enter save on £14 euro per day. Over all 5 star

The JHMD is a private narrow gauge railway that serves Jindrichuv Hradec, connecting it to Obratan and to Nova Bystrice. It connects to mainline services here. In the Summer it has steam-hauled tourist trains, but even the daily service at other times has heritage loco-hauled or diesel rail motor services with the famous Nautilus railcar. It is quite inexpensive to use and you buy tickets on board. On the service to the South to Nova Bystrice (near the Austrian border) it passes through forested areas. There is a railway museum at the station building at Nova Bystrice.

We visited Jindrichuv Hradec last weekend and went there with our 3,5 years old son. He loved it there and we had a chance to have a delicious cup of coffee while he was running around playing. They also offer panini, cakes, beer and wine for parents and sweet candy for kids. Staff was very nice and we will definitely come back if we are around.

There are three themes here in the Old Town Hall. The first is the building itself and the historic Council chamber that has some beautiful and interesting woodwork. The second is the work of a famous cartoonist and offers activities for children. A nice opportunity to get the children to sit quietly. The third is about Railways and features the JHMD private local narrow gauge railway. It has a train simulator (you "drive" the train), historic photos of the local railway scene, and has toy trains of the last 100 years.

Toto byla naše myslím že čtvrtá únikovka, tentokrát jsme s sebou vzali do party kamarády - únikové nováčky a celkem v pěti hráčích jsme se jali řešit záhadu místního detektiva. A jak to dopadlo? Dobře, ba dokonce výborně. :-) Vše jsme vyřešili, nezahynuli jsme a dostali jsme se ven v rekordním čase 51:30 minut. Hra má nápad, zámečků tam není přehršel, což nám někdy již přijde nudné a ohrané, je zde pár zajímavých vychytávek... Jste-li poblíž, určitě doporučuji navštívit i tento druh zábavy.
