Belfry Theatre

Reviewed By operalover939 - Toronto, Canada

The Belfry is a converted church accommodating an audience of perhaps 350. Sieht lines and acoustics are both excellent; washroom space is adequate. The play we saw, “The Ministry of Grace,” is a world premiere, a story told by a part-indigenous playwright, Tara Beagan, based on experiences by her grandmother in the 1950s. The perspective is new and different, and although the first half needs tweaking and some of the acting needs strengthening, the play is thought-provoking and well worth seeing.
