First off, the water is freezing. I love water parks, but I hate being cold and wet so I didn't really want to do anything. We spent a lot of time in the "Warm Springs" pool, which I think was supposed to be hot - it was not. It was lukewarm, and the temperature the rest of the water park *should* have been. Second problem we had was my 6 year old was very upset at being sprayed with (cold) water in the face on almost everything he tried to do. The big center portion of the park sprays a huge amount of (cold) water out in every direction... he was too big for the kiddie pool, and wanted to try some slides and other fun water stuff, but couldn't because he didn't want cold water spraying in his face and dumped on his head. Heck, even I didn't want to ride anything because of the spraying water - it's the only water park I've ever visited that I didn't want to participate for this reason (there are no slides available that aren't forcefully spraying water. Suggestion? Build a few slides in a "quieter" place that would be for kids AND adults who don't like sensory overload). We mostly did the kiddie pool and swam in the "warm springs." We had fun because we made the most of it and enjoyed being together as a family. However, it was an expensive dip in the pool and wish we could have done more... won't be returning.

Mountaintop Wilderness Horseback Guided Trail Rides are located in the Shenedoah Valley of Virgina and boarder the National Park and Skyline Drive on 3 sides. WE offer one and two hour rides for the whole family and for children as young as 5. We have a wilderness ride that digs deep into Appalachian History and a Sound of Music Ride where the rider is surrounded by 360 degree high mountain views
The family was very nice. The horses were very much taken care of and the experience was simply wonderful. A must do over when I come back into town.

We enjoyed our visit and shopping experience at this wonderful store. A variety of artists and crafters' work is displayed everywhere!! Marbled silks, clothing, pottery, lighting, glass pieces, and much, much more. Not pretentious with some humorous items, different items and beautiful items as well....MoreIt was a pleasure to have you as one of our guests and hope to have the same opportunity often in the future. We appreciate your kind words and how you enjoyed your visit.

We passed through Elkton on our way to Grand Caverns and found McGuires Country Store on the highway bypass. Cute little shop that features real antiques, country-style decor, and more. Worth a look.

I am a coppersmith and handcraft everything in my studio/shop, from copper, silver and exotic wood species. Some of my work includes, clocks, bird feeders/houses, napkin rings, wine bottle stoppers, wine racks and artistic displays, lighting, yard sticks, glass slings, hand painted crystal wine glasses, planters, water art and many other whimsical works of art and function.
We are visiting in the area and didn't stop here. I gave it some thought. Just a line about the business wasn't enough to entice me to check it out. Pictures of the art works would be extremely helpful. As they say, "A picture is worth a thousand words."
My rating of terrible was only because I had to place something. It may be a great place to visit but I had no way of knowing.

The overlooks were plentiful with easy in and outas the traffic was light just before the leaves began to change. Everyone at the Meadow ranger station was as helpful as can be, sincerely wanting to help us have the best time possible. Driving was not difficult and we were able to have a nice leisurely meander from vista to vista. I am not a hiker and was disappointed that seeing waterfalls required a long walk. I contented myself with seeing them in the 12 minute video presentation at the ranger station, which also had a well stocked gift shop.
