Kroller Muller Museum features one of the largest Van Gogh collections and the largest sculpture garden in Europe.
Located in the "Nationale Park De Hoge Veluwe" a visit well worth the time. A fantastic "Van Gogh" collection and a beautiful garden with modern sculptures. It kept even our teenage son interested. At the same time you are visiting a place with some unique wildlife and the "St Hubertus" castle with a magnificent choice of food

The heath is close to the city of Ede. You can hike and cycle. There are some parking spots. In september 1944 the heath was a dropzone for British paratroops in what is called the battle of Arnhem (operation Market garden) Near the sheepfold you can find a monument. In september every year there is a commemoration with a mass drop. In august the heath turns purple, its the most beautiful time to visit.

After checking out some museums in Gelderland on tripadvisor I decided to check out this museum. It's not so far from Apeldoorn or the Kroller Muller museum, so if you happen to be in the neighbourhood and you happen to have some time left... check it out!.
they have around 12 rooms with tiles, pottery, pieces of art.... the collection dates back from 1300 up to the present and it's from Iran, Italy, Spain, Portugal to the Netherlands. There are some real pieces of art here... It is an old fashioned museum, not interactive or with a huge description, but what more do you need to know than the country of origine and the year in which it was made?... I think if you want to know more the staff will be happy to tell you all about it.... There is also an option to watch a film/ documentary, but I didn't do that so I can't tell you more about that.
They have a cafe there and it was very quiet.... not a lot of people have found it yet.
I found it nice to see, I didn't stay that long, perhaps 30 minutes, but it was worth it (and I have my museumcard, so it didn't cost me any entrance fee).

It was a beautiful sunny day, so we decided to visit this tower on the way home. As the location is in the wood, you have to walk about 10 minutes from the parking area. The walking path is nice but when we arrived by the tower at 00.30 pm, it was still closed. It's open at 02.00 pm so we could only see the tower from outside and also see a "drink" water pomp. I only took some pictures and left again. We will be back next time when we in the neighbourhood
