If only more of France would rip up its sidewalks an plant things....I know, it's just my nature/garden freak speaking, but so many French cities, towns and villages are mostly stone and pavement and it gets depressing. This lovely little village has taken up the sidewalks and planted perennial flowers, roses and other bushes. It's gorgeous and makes the wonderful old stone buildings look so much more beautiful. There must be a strong community spirit in this town. At the church they've created a wonderful veggie garden and a nice plot of perennial flowers as well. There are a few lovely little cafes and art galleries. We were there on a Saturday and in the main square volunteers were selling very fairly priced meals, snacks and drinks including local wine. The money raised goes towards the gardens. We visited for probably an hour and a half or two hours. Well worth it if you like gardens and beautiful old villages. The village was not crowded because of the pandemic situation, but I imagine we are lucky to have so few fellow visitors on a July day.
