We are fortunate to operate in a magnificient part of the world with Moreton Bay marine park and the Pumicestone passage literally at our doorstep with dolphins, dugongs, turtles and abundant birdlife. We give visitors and locals alike the opportunity to experience this diverse eco system first hand by hiring kayaks and standup paddle boards to get out on the water. We also offer guided kayak tours and instruction for 'first timers'. For the young family and "leisure" seeker we also hire pedal boats. For those who prefer to observe from the land and maybe try something new, we offer guided segway tours along the foreshores of the Pumicestone Passage (instruction included). We want it to be fun, so we also give you some free time to challenge yourself with your new skills - try your segway through the tree maze or over the sand traps. Another great way to explore is by bike. We have single and tandem electric bikes, power gliders and more.

Explore the intriguing and fascinating history of Bribie Island in a beautiful contemporary museum. The Seaside Museum enjoys scenic views across the glimmering waters of the Pumicestone Passage and Moreton Bay.
With a group of our social club members we truly enjoyed our visit to Bribie Island Seaside Museum. The docuumentaries were very well written - actually read heaps because of the great writing style. Well laid out, heaps of history (even a replica of Matthew Flinders Black Cat :-) the Seaside Museum showcases Bribie history in modern surroundings and lovely welcome by people who worked there. Thanks you

A visit to the Butterfly House at Bribie Island is a wonderful experience. You can spend as long as you like and be amazed by the number and assortment of butterflies to interact with in the enclosure. You also get to learn about the life cycle of the butterfly and see different caterpillars. Kids would love this and I feel it would give them a good idea of how important it is to save our beautiful environment. How exciting to have a butterfly land on you! The volunteers here do a great job and profits are donated to charity.

We dropped in an visited Buckley’s Hole Conservation Park. There is a bird hide at the waters edge which allows you to observe and photograph the birds. Loved seeing the Black Swans with their Cygnets, quite a highlight.

A few months back I started swimming regularly at the Bribie Island Aquatic Leisure Centre. I now go at least four days a week, and swim lengths until I’m tired. I am a retired environmental health officer (AKA Health Inspector) and one of my specialties is water treatment. I have inspected a lot of public pools over the forty-odd years of my career, so you can believe me when I say the pools at the Bribie Aquatic centre are well run. The changing rooms and amenities (at least the ones I as a male am allowed into) are spotlessly clean, pleasant smelling and clearly regularly serviced. As a retired old codger currently residing semi permanently on Bribie, the concession rates for regular use of the pools are an outstanding bargain. Though I have no reason any more to play in the kiddies paddling pools I can see they are well designed, and loads of fun with some water features for excitement. The indoor pool is also excellent for physiotherapy and learning, in warmer water. Best of all, from my viewpoint, the staff are friendly, helpful and supportive. I like to chat, so I am gradually getting to speak to all the staff at various times. Lovely people. They clearly know their business. I can’t praise them highly enough. And I have just discovered they make a wickedly good cup of coffee, so that will be my regular after-swim pick-me-up from now on.
