We hiked almost every trail within a few hours. Well-marked and not as strenuous as you may think when looking at the maps. We saw numerous wildflowers, deer, beautiful lookouts, etc. The trails were well maintained and easy hiking throughout.

I work out with Kate a few times a week and she is excellent!! She really cares about catering the workouts to her audience - all ages and abilities - and she is extremely high energy. She pushes us to do more than we think we can and I appreciate that very much. The entire team at Buckeye are fantastic but Kate is the top of the heap. ????

My kids had the best time going up and down the hill. This is a great FREE activity! We were able to get sleds in the ski rental shop next door. They were $5 to rent them. We also bought waterproof gloves in the ski shop. Plenty of free parking

My mom went when she was a little girl and has talked about going for years. We surprised her with a Private Tour. The weather wasn't great but you can't control that. So fun! Highly recommend it. Want to come back next year when they have OzFest!

All-season activities abound at this mountain resort area: skiing, tubing and snowboarding in the winter; hiking, fishing and biking in the summer.
I was expecting a ski lodge and some hotels. Beech mountain is an entire mountain, it’s a large area, the ski resort being only a small portion of it. It’s cute, fun and 5500 feet in the air! This was our first time and we’ll be back again. Tips- the road up is 2 miles to the top and it’s double lane, windy and super steep. Like motion and altitude sickness steep. Be aware. Hydrate. There’s free sledding at the top and plenty of restaurants Tips- there are no grocery stores or gas stations. If you ha e food allergies you won’t find much on the mountain

Beech mountain offers a lot of fun for visitors. Hiking, skiing, biking, and shopping. Even during the pandemic, we enjoyed a great experience of dining and hiking. We were there during fall colors and were treated to outstanding views of several states st the top of Beech. Hiked though the ski area and were armed with air horns in case of bears, which we thankfully did not encounter. Highly recommend Fred’s Mercantile for lunch and browsing.
