Tiverton Museum of Mid Devon Life is a treasure trove of fascinating objects and quirky artefacts that weave incredible stories about the people who lived here. The museum has extensive permanent displays, and a lively events and exhibition programme. The museum is proud to be family friendly. It is located in the heart of Tiverton, right next to the Beck's Square short stay car park, the bus station and only a few minutes from the long stay car park. We recommend that you pre-book and ask that you adhere to 2m social distancing and wear a face covering when visiting the museum.
We visited Tiverton Museum recently - for the first time in about 30 yrs... What a marvellous place it is now - after its huge extension & refurb. What transformation! Fantastic displays of everything from ancient farm equipment to a giant net-making loom, from the Heathcoat factory. And, of course standing on the footplate of the Tivvy Bumper steam engine is a wonderful treat! (You can even press a button to hear steam noises - and pull the chain to hear that iconic whistle!) If you are visiting the area - or haven't visited the museum for a while - I am sure you will find the £5.50 entrance fee very good value - enjoy!!

Wall in the Hall is a Multi Purpose Activity Centre offering both Indoor and Outdoor climbing facilities as well as other activities. We are Mid Devon's only dedicated climbing facility and pride ourselves on having a friendly and local feel. Saturday and Sunday we offer drop in sessions for people of any age and experience something that is very unique to find in a climbing centre and we have constantly changing challenges for ages 4 till 400(our oldest regular climber is in her 80's.). We also run adult climbing sessions and workshops and ensure there are always problems that will stump you no matter what your level of fitness. A perfect day out or Work out, and always a friendly smile.

Jump on Board for train loads of fun! Unlimited train rides, model railways, model village, indoor play coaches and outdoor play areas all set within a former railway station on the Exe Valley Line
I was very cynical arrival about how we’d spend 3 hours here as it looked very small but I was proved wrong! We spent a lovely afternoon enjoying train rides, gnome spotting, playing mini golf, exploring the play areas and enjoying the model village and play carriages. My 3 year old absolutely loved it, very pleased to have made the trip. Lovely pub called the Fisherman’s cot just over the river too which was nice for a quick drink after!

The Grand Western Canal Country Park meanders through 11 1/4 miles of beautiful mid-Devon countryside between Tiverton and Lowdwells (near the Somerset border). Declared a Country Park in 1971 and a Local Nature Reserve in 2005, the canal is a wonderfully relaxing place for a peaceful walk or cycle ride along the towpath, or even take a ride onboard the much-loved horse-drawn barge that has been taking passengers for trips along the canal since 1974. The abundance of wildlife and scenic landscape that characterise the Canal today make it a great place to enjoy walking, cycling, boating, fishing and picnics.
The Tiverton canal is lovely for a relaxing ,scenic walk on a Sunday afternoon or anytime. The Canal tea shop sells fabulous ice creams, and other food and drinks, but closes from beginning of october until mothering sunday .I often go walking here. it suits the more avid walker as well as walks can be relatively short or long and there is the option of a horse drawn barge trip during the summer months

Single Screen cinema on Fore Street, Tiverton. Part of the Merlin Cinemas Group. Blockbusters and events on the big screen!
What a great cinema to have in the town! Staff are always friendly, ticket prices excellent, seats very comfortable and it is part of the West End live theatre streaming programme to compliment the always up-to-date films being shown. What more could you want? As long as the town supports it, the Tiv will always be there. Also does annual membership cards - when means even cheaper tickets!

Monsters Mansion is an indoor soft play and party centre. You can bring your children and pay to play, whilst you enjoy a full lunch or simply a specialty fair trade coffee in our stylish cafe or outdoor fully enclosed area. Or why not book a party for your child to remember, whereby we provide everything needed and take the stress out of your party planning.
This establishment is local to us and we have visited a few times however I felt compelled to write a review after our most recent visit based on a fantastic cheeseburger both my husband and I enjoyed!! Honestly the soft play is great for little ones, food was fab, lady running the place was brilliant. Even stopped to talk to our grizzly 1 year old in his high chair allowing us to quickly scoff our burgers. I have a 2 and 1 year old and both had a great time. Will be popping back again.
