This is much more than a usual monastery visit as this is a living, working miniature town within a town. The main hall can be visited on two levels and on a sunny day has enough light inside for good photography. The view of the town and snow-topped mountains is spectacular from here.

Jaswant Garh War Memorial, is dedicated to a war hero, Jaswant Singh Rawat who scarified his life for India, changing its fate. Place is well developed to depict the saga for war, its background and soldiers. There is a canteen run by Army, which gives free tea to everyone. There is also a store where woolen caps, jackets, gloves etc are available.

Tawang War Memorial is a big 40-foot structure overlooking the Tawang-Chu Valley. The great Tawang War Memorial was constructed in commemoration of the sacrifices of great Indian Army soldiers who laid their lives to protect the nation during the 1962 Sino-Indian war. The visitors can spot the names of the brave soldiers carved on granite plates and this memorial was also visited by Dalai Lama in 1997. I went to Pangeteng Tso Lake. Located almost 25km from Tawang town, this immensely picturesque locale is a perfect tourist site. Excellent for picnic, depending on the weather. The serene atmosphere and mesmerizing surroundings leave tourists spellbound. It is great place to go.

There's only two dogs and a cow to keep you company. It's totally quiet and deserted. The building has only Stupas inside. We walked around it and entered the door. We prayed and took pictures and walked out. We sat for a while, absorbing the calm and quiet atmosphere, with nothing to talk about.
