Located in Byblos, the museum is a place of memory which aims to promote the common values & principles of humanity. As part of its remembrance activities on the occasion of the commemoration of the centennial of the Armenian Genocide, the Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia has commissioned the building of this cultural facility thanks to the active sponsorship of the Bezikian family.
I stopped here for about an hour and was very impressed. The museum does a thorough and professional job of covering the Armenian Genocide and the related issues pertaining to orphans. There is English signage throughout the museum and the exhibits are very informative. I would estimate that the museum is weighted 80% to the genocide and 20% to the history of the orphans. Highly recommended.

The convent hosts the tomb and life of Saint Charbel, the most famous of Lebanese Saints. His reputation is world-wide which led Saint Patrick Cathedral to host a shrine in his name inside the Cathedral in New York City. To visit the place where he lived and walked is a mesmerizing experience. After you visit, you regain an inner peace no matter what religion you belong to. Visiting the solitary place where he spent most of his life praying in solitary is a must stop as well. It’s a short drive away on a hilltop with amazing views, not to mention the deep emotional move when you contemplate the tiny room where Saint Charbel spent most of his life till he died. No visit to Lebanon is complete without a visit to Annaya.
