Three visits here now and everyone a fantastic experience.Food looks, and tastes superb, service is fast, and the whole place has a great vibe. The only downside is getting a table, with waits of 1 hour or more not uncommon, due to the walk up policy.Due to a theatre booking we arrived before midday on a Sunday and were sat straight down, but within half an hour the place was packed and the queue had begun. So, it pays to have an early lunch or dinner. But it's worth it. Popularity here does equal quality with everyone from families with young kids, uni students, grannies and couples on first dates scattered around and enoying the food, service and setting.

TEMPORARILY CLOSED - For over 12 years, Red Spice Road has been dedicated to serving you the best food Asia offers, in a buzzing and energetic communal dining environment. And youâve been loving it, repeatedly naming Red Spice Road as home to Melbourneâs
We booked for dinner on a Thursday evening. Service was very good. The menu is designed for sharing so we could sample a variety of dishes of different portion sizes. We ordered nine items to share among 5 persons, with rice. Our top pick was the pork belly, that was delicious, will pass on the vegetarian curry with (canned?) jackfruit, not enough snapper in the stir fried snapper dish and watch out for spiciness in the curries. Everything else (don't remember exactly what else there was) was fine. We selected all four desserts and decided that the cheesecake ranked supreme, a little disappointed with the peanut butter ferrero rocher which was very dense. Very good coffee. It was a noisy venue, so conversation levels were raised. Hoping the new venue will be better equipped (re noise level) to accommodate a full house. Top score for service, a bit of a hit and miss with the meals, nevertheless we did enjoy our evening.Hi Superwoman888Thank you for your review and feedback. We are sorry to hear that you enjoyed the food as much as we would have liked you too. Please see we don't use canned jackfruit, we have passed on your comments to our kitchen team about the portion of snapper. We hope to see you soon at our new venue.RegardsVarun Sharma, Restaurant Manager

A daring duo, perfectly paired. Perpetually Rotating Craft Beers and Eastern Feast shared among the table. Located in Richmond at the heart of our iconic Bridge Rd, a street steeped in history dating back to the 1837. Kekou (to taste good) is the regions
We loved our recent visit to Kekou! We each went for the $32 lunch special which was really filling and worth every cent. the Lobster Betel Leaf was a delicious little bite and the chicken yellow curry was amazing too. You could tell the egg noodles were homemade...yum!Thank you for such a positive review @travelmarnieThe $32 lunch special is definitely worth the while.. A starter...A main... and 1 pot (it makes things tricky when we have 18 craft beer taps to choose from) Everything prepared from our kitchen is made from scratch (even down to the curry pastes) so you know the food will always be top quality! We welcome you back for dinner as our menu has more options and variety. Thanks again @travelmarnie. We hope to see you soon.

Located at 15 Hardware Lane, just off Bourke St in the CBD, Rice Paper Sister offers the same fresh, organically sourced ingredients and inviting atmosphere as Rice Paper Scissors, with a "finer" dining experience.
I met friends from near and far recently and we were all so happy with our experience here. We shared all our dishes and there was not one that was disappointing. Stand outs, in my opinion, were the kingfish sashimi, duck pancakes, dory and the lamb. All super tasty and some unusual parings of flavours. One friend was gluten free and all meals were adapted for her which was fantastic. The cocktails were really impressive too. I would definitely return.

Welcome to Longrain, Melbourne. Our menu brings together South East Asian influences with the best Victorian produce. Inspired by the communal eating philosophy of the Asian table, our menu is made up of dishes created for sharing. Large servings and comm
For a 5:30pm reservation with the restaurant 25% occupied it is strange that we had to have the fixed banquet, which was hardly inspiring, nor worth the money- due to staff that came and went without notice (4 different drinks staff in over the course of 90 mins), and food that was seemed like it was prepared en-mass. Dessert was a small sliver of chocolate cake with shavings of coconut served in a small bowl with a spoon as garnish. Really? To rub fish sauce into the wound, 10% compulsory tip added to the final bill, and when ordering $100 bottles of wine, that seems a little steep. Won't recommend as Melbourne CBD has much much better options.Thank you for your feedback. We are disappointed to read your review. We are sorry to hear that you were not aware of the 10% 'discretionary' service charge. We do disclose that there is a 10% discretionary service charge added to the bill for all large group bookings when making a booking online or over the phone. This is also mentioned on our confirmation emails sent to all guests before arriving. At Longrain, we pride ourselves on meeting our guests with a general consistency of great service, food, drinks and atmosphere. We regret that your experience was not as you expected it to be.

Rice Paper Scissors is modeled on the hawker dining bars of South East Asia with a shared-eating concept being the focus of our offering. We aim to serve only the freshest ingredients, sourced organically and ethically where possible - and all our sauces,
What an unexpected treat!I stumbled across this place for lunch whilst in the city visiting an art installation. My local friend joined me and said sheâd been trying to dine there for ages (no bookings for evenings).Chose the banquet and where left well beyond full. The smoked chicken salad is to die for. Cocktails are a winner with daily specials and an exquisite Vietnamese inspired take on the classic espresso martini.Looking forward to revisiting soon.

We went with our family to celebrate our sonâs 22 year birthday and their special fish with chilli and garlic is as good as we remember first having similar Thai food along Patong beach in the late 1980âs. We had several dishes including Lara chicken, Penang beef curry, Thai green chicken curry, gra pow, pad ki mao, plus coconut rice and roti bread. Thoroughly recommend Jinda Thai

Located in an iconic Melbourne laneway, Hochi Mama is a fun and relaxed restaurant/bar serving up modern Vietnamese-inspired street food. Expect interesting interpretations of traditional classics, as well as more contemporary Asian Fusion menu items. In
Exceptional food and staff...could not fault this restaurant. Great value with their $65 deal for two people with meals that kept all the taste buds firing. Would highly recommend if you are doing a night out at the theatre or even just a nice dinner out.
