Putrajaya, officially the Federal Territory of Putrajaya, is a planned city and the federal administrative centre of Malaysia. The seat of government was shifted in 1999 from Kuala Lumpur to Putrajaya because of overcrowding and congestion in the former. Kuala Lumpur remains Malaysia's national capital and is the seat of the King, the Parliament, and all the foreign embassies, and the country's commercial and financial centre. Putrajaya was the idea of former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad. It became Malaysia's third Federal Territory, after Kuala Lumpur and Labuan, in 2001.

We had dinner in the IOI Shopping Mall and enjoyed the Absolute Thai food - unfortunately, service was rather disappointing - several dishes were wrongly served and drinks ordered got forgotten.

We were there for the buka puasa buffet and it was certainly value for money. The food was very fresh and aunthentic Thai. Dishes worth mentioning include the salted egg prawns and black pepper lamb. The lamb was tender and succulent. I heard that they do not serve buffet everyday but only during the Ramadhan month. I hope that they will be able to serve the buffet on a daily basis.

Airy, high ceiling, vistas, nature works out to a wonderful ambience. The food was only average. We had the sets of sweet and spicy chicken, black pepper crispy beef and a veg meal. The latter wasn't truly vegan and that was later changed to a pineapple fried rice. The chicken was too sweet for my liking. The beef had some pretty tough pcs although the fried rice was pretty good, and it was on the house.Dear Leonj59Thank you for visiting Aroi Dee Thai Restaurant in July. We are sorry that you found the food on the average side. The set menu is changed every few weeks and we do hope you would come again to try out the a la carte menu. Thank you

We ordered its fried rice and it taste good. What makes it more good is that the price is reasonably cheap compared to the location and the view it offered. We went there on Saturday, there were many diners but dining tables are still available. This place is great for lunch as it offers many local delicacies dishes. No buffet, only make per order. Waiting time is fast considering numbers of diners at our time. Clean environement, great to brings your family here. The car park is around 50 meters but its an enjoyable 50 meters walk as there are other activities offered in that area like renting a tricycle, hot air balloon, and that rocket shape monument. Its a stroller and wheelchair friendly path.

There are two Tomyam Kung in Putrajaya that I am aware of, one is in Precinct Diplomatic and the other at Ayer@8. Anyway, apart from their logo using Thai Airline logo, the food is quite good. I had Nasi Goreng Nenas one day, there was just one prawn (just One!) but the overall taste is quite good. and the noodles are pretty nice too. The price is slightly more (by RM 1-3) compared to other normal roadside restaurants
