What a shame. Was so looking forward to this.Hereâs the problem. This restaurant is located in a set of shops designed for commercial use, not a restaurant of 50 plus people at one time. And so, the acoustics are not designed for 50 plus people talking at the same time. What you get is an environment that is so loud and near impossible to hear. And if you are unlucky enough as we were to get your drunken Gold Coast skanky Botox diva, spitting food at the same time sheâs shouting at everyone at her table (and the poor staff), well, your ears are left ringing.Staff were great, service excellent.Food is your typical Thai fare, nothing special but same same.Find a new location fast!

Staying in house so was a no brainer. Can see why this place is the number one rated Thai restaurant in the area. From the decor, good ambience, the friendly staff to the delicious food.Heat was at the hotter end which I really enjoyed. Can recommend the Red Curry Duck.BYO means you can have a good wine and not be charged exorbitantly.Enjoyed the night, would most definitely return.

Two locations in Broadbeach and one in Surfers Paradise
This was our second visit to this restaurant in 13 years and the quality of the food is still excellent. It was a rainy, midweek night and the place was packed but they still managed to find us a table without a booking. We had two main courses(lemongrass prawns and prawn fried rice), desserts(sticky rice) and a bottle of wine. The food was delicious and the service was prompt and friendly.

After considering this restaurant a must on our yearly visits to the Gold Coast we were very disappointed this year. Management appear to have changed and with it everything else. It is still very busy but the staff are no where near as friendly or cooperative. Added to that the kitchen closes at 8.30pm with no warning and they will not even take orders for dessert after thatWill give it a miss next year

We had the most delicious meal. Everything we ordered was delicious. We arrived without a booking with 3 Mums and 6 kids. They were absolutely so accommodating, offering plastic plates and cups for all the kids. We took up half the inside of the restaurant and the guy was lovely to the children. We canât wait to go again.

Having visited Thailand many times, I was surprised to be served quality food from such a hidden Gem.On arrival we were served some complimentary Prawn Crackers whilst we perused the menu. The three of us shared all our courses. We started with a serving of Spring Rolls, Satay Chicken and Coconut Prawns. All entrées were delicious and hot. The Satays and Prawns were huge. For our shared mains were ordered Prawn Pad Thai, Garlic and Pepper Prawns and Sweet and Sour Pork. All the mains were large so we had a little left over of each dish at completion of our dinner. I find that the noodles of Pad Thai are a refreshing change from Rice.Between us we consumed some 4 Singha Beers and a glass of wine. The bill came to $111.00 which I thought was reasonable considering the quality and quantity of food. We obviously couldn't fit in desert.Thank you Wasdee. I will definitely add this to my Resturant list next time in QLD.

Great food at Nerang Thai. Not expensive but very good quality.Friendly staff also. Want an affordable meal for all and especially if you like Curry Puffs, Coconut rice, Curries, Pad Thai or delicious salads and stir frys Nerang Thai is the place to go.We live in Bali and love Asian food and truly regard Nerang Thai as up there with the best of Thai.No airs and graces just quality food. When here in Nerang we visit Nerang Thai quite often. Thanks Pete and ChrissieBalivilla4u.

On a recent trip to the Gold Coast we scoped out Tripadvisor for a quality Thai restaurant. We chose Iyara based on the positive revues. The service is first class, cannot fault the service and not just from a single staff member, the service standard was high quality from all staff. But the food was disappointing. An entree of fried coconut prawns was not good. No flavour at all and almost tasteless. The main was not much better. The protein appeared to be cooked either before or after the source, it just had no flavour. but the sauce had banging flavour. It was great but it just didn't blend with the rest of the dish. It was a disappointing dinner experience. The flavour was certainly there in the sauces in the mains were very good, as was the service, but the food was a Flavour miss.
