Very few customers. Fairly good service. Average sushi with strange sauces. Very expensive for what you get, even AYCE.

Buffet Star

Let me start by saying that I'm not a fan of buffets. However, I make an exception for Buffet Star. The hot and sour soup is great. The sushi is good. Plenty of seafood and good veggies are available. They have tasty stuffed scallops. My only complaint is the dry salmon. Good flavor, but overcooked. I always find plenty of good stuff to eat here.

I visited with my wife for lunch. The place is new, looks nice, and hardly anyone there. We got seated, ordered three sushi rolls, no drinks, and waited 20 minutes before we got our first roll. The wait would be long even if it was busy, but there were only a couple of other customers. The food was good, not my favorite, but I've had much worse. The macho burrito roll was unique, full of fish and I would recommend trying it. The bill was $48.00, before tax. The rolls probably cost 25% more than other sushi places I eat at in Redlands. That, and the long wait, probably makes it the last time I visit.

Situated by/in the old train station Zutto is a very friendly choice. There is a long counter as you enter with the chef working and greeting you. Our servers were very helpful. Our family of three had both sushi and rolls. My soft shell crab roll was very good. The tuna was fresh. Not fancy at all but enjoyable.

Tokyo Sushi

I would not say that the atmosphere here is different from most sushi places… You have the shelf behind the counter and the one "girl or two" trying to hustle back and forth. But… The selection and freshness is terrific! There are lots of good choices that you are already familiar with and they are done right! It is a great place to come if you are looking for sushi… No surprises here!

Sushi Kimo

Kimo is one of my favorite places to eat. It's small and nicely decorated. It's very quiet and rather elegant. I often go here for lunch with friends. We generally order lunch specials preceded by a few appetizers. I like the way the specials are organized, choice of one item from A, B, or C with miso soup, rice and salad. The salad is excellent! The combo I order is $13.00, the most expensive. I like to get both rolls and sashimi. One of my friends swears by the teriyaki salmon, another by the calamari. They serve beer, sake and limited wine. We always come away perfectly full and very pleased with our food choices.

Sachi has been a favorite of my wife and I, my grandson Michael had his first taste of sushi there. Food is very good, service is usually excellent and very efficient. The tempura is always hot, crisp, and freshly made to order. Lunch specials only during the week, nights and weekends a little pricier. You can't go wrong! I had the teriyaki beef with tempura, my wife had the salmon. Comes with salad, miso dressing, miso soup, and white rice.

Niko Niko Sushi Redlands

The restaurant doesn't take reservations and it's just in a strip mall. Even though you have to wait at dinner time, the wait was a little bit shorter than we were told. There are really creative kinds of sushi on their menu. and we tried quite a few of them. All of them were delicious. Although the place could have been just a little bit cleaner, the service was attentive. Overall we enjoyed our meal and would be happy to go back if ever in that area
