I eat at Japan Ginger about once a month. It has very good teriyaki -- my favorite is the beef teriyaki. The egg rolls are very good and I like the dressing they use on their salad, too.I'm not a sushi person, but am told it's good.Family-run, casual and good service. Simple food, but tasty.

It does feel like a bit of Hawaii- and I gather they have music on Wednesday nights- so it could be an enjoyable date night-- BUT the food is just ok. The sushi was ok but not yummy- the pulled pork was disappointing and the BBQ pork appetizer was kind of dry. However, I did like my Teriyaki chicken quite a bit and would definitely recommend that dish. Still looking for the neighborhood restaurant in Issaquah that I can make my usual. ( Do like J and K there though).

Delightful flavor. Full body. Nice finish.* good meat.* fresh vegetables.wait staff is friendly, fast, professional, and attentive. This place would be easy to redecorate to make more intimate and hip. No loss of space either.

Tried a new opening/location of an iSushi (Issaquah) on the Maple Valley Hwy by the New Life Church and Starbucks. It's a conveyer belt presentation open for lunch and dinner. Moderate prices, good flavor, good variety. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. It was busy but not packed.

This is a great option for the Highlands. If you come at happy hour it is a really good deal. The only down side are the hours - they open at 11:30 for lunch, and will literally let you stand in the rain until they are ready to unlock the door right on time. Other than that, we have had some good meals here and enjoy the food options.

Aji Sushi & Grill

My son chose this restaurant to have his birthday dinner for two reasons. He wanted to have sushi and it was near the Regal Cinemas at the highlands and we were wanting to catch the Wonder Woman movie that just came out that day. So, we went and my husband kept telling me that we've visited this restaurant before already but I do not remember at all. Anyway, my first impression was the floor was a bit sticky. But anyway, we got seated right away. We ordered our dishes. The server suggested the Fire Sushi so we got that. That was a great suggestion because wow! That was prettt impressive. To me, that was the BEST SUSHI ive ever tasted. hands down! I'm not kidding! the seared salmon was just perfect. and the presentation too... with the foil on fire and all.. I'd go back for that Fire Sushi anytime. i ordered the Bulgogi Dolsot and that was extremely satisfying too. my daughter got the Grilled Teriyaki Salmon and they licked their plate clean. The others said their dishes were ok.. that's why i can't give them a 5 star. plus my son who had a birthday ordered chicken teriyaki got his order when everyone finished eating already. it came out like an hour after. that was pretty ridiculous. they didn't even apologize for it. That was a negative. if it weren't for the Fire Sushi, man this restaurant would be a serious fail.
