Painfully slow, unfriendly service (no smiles). Food is average quality. Go to the counter to pay after your meal, or you'll be waiting forever to get your bill.

The price here was very reasonable - a bargain! Good selection of food items. Service good. Restaurant very clean. Unfortunately, we ate here on a quieter night and not many folks came in after us. Because of this, some items were not replenished even though closing was not for another hour plus. Can't blame them for this, as food would just be wasted.Everything we tried was good quality and flavorful.

My husband and I were wanting something different from the seafood we have been eating the past week while on vacation near this restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised about the quality and price of our meals. $28.00 including tip and a Tsingtao! Thatâs unheard of here in this area of $20-45 entrees per person at the local eateries in Destin and Okaloosa Island. He ordered a small chicken noodle soup, which was more of a bowl than a cup. There was lots of chicken and noodles which had a wonderful flavor. He also ordered the Hawaiian Hibachi combo with fried rice and an egg roll. I opted for cashew chicken combo including fried rice and a spring roll. Neither of us could finish the huge portions they served. We have been coming to this area for a week vacation for many years and have never tried this little place in a strip of other businesses in the parking area of the Publix across the bridge from Okaloosa Island. We will be trying it again in our next trip! Donât be fooled by the the unassuming store front, itâs definitely a place to try. The sushi bar looked interesting, but we wanted to try what we are used to eating. Maybe sushi will be our choice on our next visit!

Had dinner after hearing good things from friends. "Spicy" Volcano roll was everything but spicy. Lacked any real flavor. Miso soup was really good. Shrimp Tempura dinner was decent, but again, nothing to write home about. Asked server why there was no music. She thought I was joking. Very flat atmosphere. Lots of work needed here to compete with other sushi sources in this town.

It's hard to find good places to eat unless you are willing to brave the tourists to go to the more crowded areas with longer wait times. Even on Easter night, my husband and I had no issues with getting spots at both a table (and then we changed our minds bc we both wanted hibachi isntead!) and then the grill. The waitresses were dressed in your stereotypical costume kimono, and were very nice and quick at serving and taking dirty dishes off the tables. The hibachi chefs were a lot of fun and cooked/distributed food well and in a fair manner. Good portions too! Hibachi included salad, soup, your choice of rice, yakisoba style noodles, your choice of entree, and vanilla ice cream as dessert. Bathrooms were clean, and parking plentiful.

Weâve been coming here for awhile now and have been reluctant to write a review bc we didnât want to give away our secret, but we shall finally share it with you! Ms. Chong serves up the best sushi in town hands down. Yes, there will be a wait during peak times. Yes, itâs worth it. Excellent servers. Robin even kept the picture our daughter made for her. We love coming in and seeing the staff and Ms. Chong. Our kids love the chicken noodles, we especially love the Assumi roll (oh my goodness try this roll.) The backdown and Volcano rolls are also favs. You can request a special roll and Ms Chong will roll whatever she feels like. We enjoy ordering a âspicy specialâ roll and seeing what we will get. Never been disappointed! Tip- Go as soon as they open and order as soon as you are seated to avoid a long wait.

19OCT18:. Ordered bento box with spicey beef and double green beans. The beef and onions were kay, the rice was split and well over cooked. Green beans were tough and stringy. I realise I have raved about this place in the past. Not today..

Six of my family members had dinner at Soi Bistro in Fort Walton Beach this evening. We all had something different, sharing bites to see what everyone liked. We came to the concensus that we liked it all! There wasnât anything we didnât like! Great place!
