Let's start from the beginning,This place was suggested to us by a friend as a pretty decent sushi place in Ridgewood. I have to agree with him on this but then again I had expected a little better in terms of quality of the food.But first things first. Came here on Tuesday night for dinner. The place was packed, so the level of expectation became sky high even though the place is right next to the train station. So we sat down expecting great food and great service. Gotta mention that service was actually great, fast, polite, no nonsense. But food seemed somewhat mediocre considering the number of people that are passing through the place given a full house on a Tuesday night. Me and my wife both ordered Sashimi B (16 pcs) of Sashimi with no white tuna but it seems that Tuna is the fish of choice, where as I would have expected more variety like Mackerel instead of Albacore. And the fish seemed to have that "frozen aftertaste" though it wasn't as prominent as some of the other places I had a chance to visit.Overall I would say this is a good place to visit and I think after the renovations that they were closing for it may be better but it still needs a little bit of improvement.

We were so excited to try this restaurant. We ordered fried rice plain and chicken Pad Thai. How can any food come out so bland? I especially love Thai food from another restaurant in Ramsey and this canât even come close. No peanut flavor whatsoever. I can understand the bland fried rice because we asked for it plain. But doesnât the soy sauce help give at least a salty flavor? So disappointed and more disappointed in the high rating this place received. I guess some people donât care for quality and flavorful food!

Had previously been here with Teddy.Tonight Tommy and I went to Fire and Oak for a great dinner.We got a nice table with room. We ordered tuna sushi for appetizers.Also spilt a kale salad which was exceptional.I had the Prime Rib which is a huge piece of meat.Tommy had the Scallops and were excellent.Thank you for your review! We are so lucky that Sakura's is in our our hometown. We used to travel about 15 minutes to other Japanese restaurants until one day about a year ago our son tried out Sakura's and recommended we do the same. It's been one of our favorite spots ever since

Enter into the small store front and be greeted by every one of the staff. This place is warm and friendly and helps you relax at the end of the work day or weekend. Jack and Joann are the backbone of the restaurant and you can always see them running around keeping all the customers happy. The wife and I enjoy a combination of the Sushi bowl salad followed by two different rolls each Friday. All the rolls are tasty! This is the best sushi place in our area and the owners pay attention to detail and keep it that way. Bring your own bottle of wine or whatever and enjoy.

I'd like to second the earlier review. Asian Cuisine is as generic as it's name. That said, the staff is nice, the food is solid, and the place is clean. I wouldn't hesitate to order from or eat there.

such a great place. even their rice is better than everybody elses. lighter and less of! awesome fresh sushi AND so many other wonderful things. excellent grilled calamari. perfect seaweed salad. pan fried yummy noodles. Loved it all!!! Reka was our server and she was friendly, sweet and excellent!!

Came here for a late night light dinner. Sushi rolls were creative and extremely tasty. Tempura was crispy and fresh. want to come back soon with the expectations of trying many more things. Well worth a visit.
