This is a local and straight forward Barbeque joint. The specialty are the ribs and they are delicious along with the french fries. Anticuchos were also amazing and surprisingly the salad was also fresh and with a delicous dressing. This is not a luxurious restaurant or a services oriented restaurant and that is what makes it special and traditional. People go here to get AMAZING food and just that, it is absolutely WORTH IT. If you have a chance do eat here.

The menu includes lots of different meat dishes but I had a very tasty treat of grilled meat, salad and fries. Everything was awesome. The portion for one person was huge so I didn't quite finish. The pisco sour also went down a treat. Would definitely recommend to others, I'm intending to seek out the other branch in Piura next week.

Es un tipo de parrilla bien condimentada. Muy bueno y las porciones son bastante generosas. Recomendación probar la parrilla y la sangrÃa.

I've been to La Estampida a few times, and it's always been wavering on the cusp of good. The burger is nice, but a bit too greasy. The thing that is never pardonable is that they cook their cuts from frozen. I ordered a steak rare on my last visit, and when brought to the table, the meat was stone cold in the middle, and only partially cooked on the outside. This only happens when cooked from frozen. When taken back to be cooked properly, it came back roughly medium, but I would prefer to eat my meat medium than raw.

We visited this restaurant yesterday, and were surprised for their quality and prices. I shared with my husband a 350grs. Lomo (sirloin) with salad and french fries, which was really huge. The restaurant was with lots of people, so the attetion was a little bit slow. They have free parking. I will definitely return to this surprising restaurant when visiting Trujillo, Peru.

Hearty portions of grilled meat. Two had steak, two sausages. Quality was good. Served with heaping side of fries. A nice size salad provides some needed balance. Busy, social atmosphere.

We wanted some bbq grilled beef and were very happy with our meal here. Our small waiter in the big hat spoke no English but never stopped smiling and making sure we were enjoying our meal! Recommended.

Coco Torete offers an excellent selection of grilled meats that our table enjoyed. The portions were huge especially the ribs. They were very specific as to how the beef would be done. The sides of roasted vegetables that included peppers and potatoes were tasty. Unfortunately, they used canned mushrooms for the barbecued and ceviche mushrooms and resulted in a poor selection. The service was friendly and efficient.
