EXCELLENT What an amazing experience - every time!!!It surely is in my top 10 list of restaurants and I always go when I am in Japan. I can not decide which dish is my favorite, I loved them all from abalone to Kobe beef. What I enjoyed most was the way the chef grilled the garlic :-)

After a week in Asia eating local cuisine I fancied some steak and so headed to Lawry's The Prime Rib in Ebisu. It's about a 5-10 minute walk from the East Exit of Ebisu station up the hill to the restaurant. The ambiance and decor inside Lawry's is excellent and is the perfect setting for that special occasion meal or romantic dinner date. The menu is all about the Prime Rib and you can choose your cut (weight). I went for the 6oz English Cut (sliced) medium-well done. Your beef is served directly from the Lawry's cart, with a spun salad to the side, (which is made fresh in front of you), and mashed potato, gravy, horseradish and Yorkshire pudding. You can order extra sides of vegetables (I had peas) which cost around JPY600 each!! I started with a bowl of Clam Chowder which was very good and the warm fresh bread it came with was delicious. All the food was to a high standard and was delicious, the ambiance was great and the service was attentive (in fact there seemed too many staff to me, they seemed to walk around in pairs!) but the price is high. My bill, not including any alcoholic drinks I just had one small mineral water, can to JPY9,200 (GB£65 or USD85) which to me is somewhat expensive. If you had a dessert and a couple of cocktails you could easily get up to (USD120) a head... This is Fine Dining. There are now 3 Lawry's restaurants in the whole of Japan. Best to make a reservation.Dear Custemer.Thank you so much for coming to Lawrys. And thank you for your compliment about our restaurant.we will definitely take your advice to keep it a good place and work more on things that you pointed out, to improve our restaurant. We hope to see you again.Best regards.

In spite of the excellent reviews we read, this restaurant even exceeded our already high expectations. The staff took very good care of us from beginning to end and, whilst preparing our meat in front of our eyes, would also explain the history and traditions behind the dish. The meat was absolutely excellent (and we are quite demanding when it comes to meat), and the whole experience felt more like dining in a beautiful Japanese home than at a restaurant.Do not miss the green tea mousse with vanilla ice cream as desert either, itâs outstanding. We can not recommend Ikuta highly enough and will definitely be back when we next travel to Tokyo.

Features lacquered beams and pillars, as well as walls covered with Bengala-vermillion plaster and a mosaic wall. The restaurant has an atmosphere where art-nouveau and Japanese style meet, and it is just like a museum. All private rooms are equipped with
Do yourself a favour and come here. It's the best!We wanted to go to a Michelin Star restaurant while we were in Tokyo as Tokyo has the most Michelin Starred restaurants of any city in the world. We decided to go to this restaurant, which was just off Cat Street. It was on the top level of a shopping centre building, so it took us a little while to find.We managed to get ourselves a table without a booking, which was fortunate. We waited in a plush waiting room that was full of antiques until our table was ready. We were then brought through to a bright open room where chefs were cooking meals in front of their customers. Customers were seated along a table that was facing the teppanyaki hot plates and we took our place towards the end of the table. Behind us there were full length windows that had a view out to the city below. Each group of customers had their own chef and there were a few different lunch sets that you could choose from. We both had the steak lunch course, which was the middle option. We were brought a pretty little seafood appetiser which came with a tomato foam and was absolutely delicious. Next, our chef brought out some fresh clams, opened them up in front of us and cooked them on the grill. The clams were huge and we weren't sure how we'd get through all of it, but after the chef trimmed it down it looked a lot more manageable. That was also very nice.Next, our chef brought out a couple of portions of beautifully marbled steak. We watched eagerly as he expertly cooked the steak on the teppanyaki plate and sliced it into smaller portions for us to eat. He served that with a mount of sliced onion which come with a vinaigrette and also slices of baked garlic. Finally we could choose from garlic fried rice or cold noodles. We had one of each (I preferred the rice) and that came with miso soup and pickles.Next to us a couple must have ordered the most expensive lunch set as we saw some abalone flowering open on the hotplate just before we left. That was cooked alive â which we thought was a bit ethically questionable. Fortunately we didn't have that set. When our meal came to an end we thanked our chef with a "goche so suma deshita". We were then led to an elegant withdrawing room to take our coffee or tea and sweets. We chose a creme caramel and a vanilla cake with strawberries and cream for dessert. They were nice, but we probably would have preferred different options in hindsight. The coffee and cakes were served on delicate china and we had a window seat which overlooked the city. It was very high falutin. We eyed off the dessert trolley from a distance, and when it came around we were asked what we wanted and were told me could have as much as we want. Obviously we went for it and pretty much had one of everything. So much for trying to be refined and fancy! Haha! We joked that we were having petit tens rather than petit fours. This restaurant was one of the highlights of our trip.Thoroughly satisfied, we were given back our coats and our bags and escorted to the elevator.

[Gyukatsu-MOTOMURA ] will continue to provide the taste of "Gyukatsu" in an honest fashion with the idea of "making Gyukatsu a Japanese food culture." Grill fried beef in medium rare on stone palate, and enjoy it with wasabi soy sauce. We cover the meat c
We queued for about 20 minutes to get into this small (seats about 8 people) restaurant. The concept is to cook your own steak over a hot tile. The meat is utterly delicious if not a bit rich.Itâs served with rich, and other little bowls of things which we had to guess what to do with. Beer or a whiskey and soda available, water served at the counter.
