This was my first time visiting a Brazilian Steakhouse and it certainly was memorable. It started with a wonderful salad bar and then the non-stop service of the waitstaff coming to our table offering servings of various cuts of meat cooked in a variety of styles. This is a good way to try different meats that you may not be familiar with. My one suggestion, if you aren't a big eater and you're dining with a partner, just get one serving of each meat, and if you like it, you can certainly get more, but if you don't care for it, less will be wasted.

Donovan's rich and intimate ambience is enhanced by world-class unobtrusive service. The Chef serves 100% USDA Prime beef 100% of the time. Donovan's wine list of over 300 wines features the best the world has to offer. Wine tasting dinners available.
I used the $100 gift certificate that I bought on line last night. Well worth it. I was greeted by the hostess & restaurant manager. I got to select the table I wanted in the the room. I have been here in the past. There were 3 servers working the room. All very attentive towards me. I started with the wedge then placed the order. The T-Bone medium well was made perfect. Baked potato & mac & cheese I don't care for the bacon. I highly recommend Donovan's. PS Roxanne The Downtown Cafe El Cajon Thursday's

I went to this restaurant tonight because my friends recommend is as a good steakhouse. It is my birthday (though we did not inform the restaurant) and I really wanted a good beef dinner before returning to my home in the Philippines where good beef is hard to come by.I ordered the 12oz prime rib and was simply disappointed. It did come exactly medium rare, and the taste was fine, but I am used to really good prime rib from my four decades of living in Colorado and Wyoming. This prime rib was tough. I really expected better. So service was good, the sides adequate but not exceptional. The menu's steak listings minimal with more seafood options that steaks. No T-bone, no porterhouse... just not what I expect from a real steak house. We appreciate you visiting to celebrate your birthday, but our team is saddened to read of your disappointment in your meal. Comments from our guests are truly valued, so we appreciate you sharing yours, and if you're ever in the area again, we hope you'll consider giving us another chance to better meet your expectations. Respectfully, Jacquie W., Guest Relations Manager

This 21 & Up âgrill-your-ownâ steak lounge is located at the âfootâ of San Diegoâs Historic Gaslamp Quarter. This is a friendly, casual alternative to expensive, stuffy steak houses.
Found this place on TripAdvisor and what a find.5th Ave middle of Gaslamp, not far from harbour & ball park.Ok, you cook it, but superb beef, salad and garlic bread to accompany is quality. One side is plenty, wine list extensive bus not crazy prices. 100% recommend.

Fleming's San Diego, CA is an ongoing celebration of exceptional steak and wine. We are located in Downtown SD in the Gaslamp District off Harbor Drive, next to Seaport Village and San Diego Bay.
Overall an excellent restaurant. Not too stuffy, not too casual, not too loud. Great food. Great service. As usual Iâll rate things I tried 1-10 scale, but everything was excellent except for the Caesar salad which was rather tasteless and dry. Crab Cakes 9.0, Caesar 5.5, Flemingâs potatoes 9.5, Asparagus 8.0, Bone In Filet 8.5 cooked perfectly, Bernaise sauce 7.5, Diablo Shrimp topping 8.0, Lava Cake 9.0, Old Fashion drink 8.0. It was quite expensive though. Would highly recommend if price not prohibitive.

They were very busy. I asked to speak with the manager she said she was too busy to talk to me. My prime rib was mooing, we were seated after a wait then not visited by our waitress after we ordered.Even if everything was not up to outback steakhouse standards I gave her a 50$ tip.I wouldn't go there again.Hi Debi, We're disappointed that your visit ended up this way. We'd like to review this further if you could please take a moment to send me an email at [email protected] with the subject "TripAdvisor - South San Diego". We can then correspond directly over email. Sincerely, LaceyOutback Steakhouse

The name may conjure up a backyard barbecue but this would be far from reality. This is one of the finest chop house restaurants in the city if not the state. The service is terrific. The wait staff is appears to be intuitive. The food without fault. There have been other steak houses in San Diego and for the most part have been adequate (excepting the old Donovan's in UTC). The parking is a bit of problem but after 8 there is a parking lot right across the street.but before that only street parking. A valet would be nice.

This was and kinda still is a good Rrstaurant. Its been here since before the Freeways. Movie stars from way back use to visit. Been there many many times..but this last...no like. The New Yorks we ordered were average grocery store quality. Go for there specialty...the Prime Rib. Always use to be great at a perfect pink. Since The Butcher Shop closed in CV...this is the viev of a past time.
