Was surprised at the menu, I guess I expected more chicken choices.. Maybe chicken tenders, chickens nuggets, chicken sandwiches.. But the chicken was very good and the corn fritters canât be beat.. Kind of expensive carry out.. There are seafood and steak choices, as well as desserts..

While downtown Joliet we decided to do lunch at a new place for us. It was terrific. We were greeted and seated right away in a very cozy relaxed and unique atmosphere. We decided on a blackened grouper sandwich which offered a variety of sides. I chose french fries. The grouper was excellent with just the right blackening spices and cooked to perfection. Service was prompt, attentive and friendly. We will be planning a return for dinner in the near future. Cut 158 would be a great spot for dinner before doing a show at the Rialto Theater which we are planning.

Had a really nice meal. Service was very good. The only reason I am give less than 4 is that I have been in cleaner menâs bathrooms in late night bars. The menâs restroom is filthy and In dire need of an update. This place is always packed. Spend a little on the restrooms. A filthy restroom is a direct reflection of the kitchen.

They seem to have a good drink selection and a smaller western themed menu. The food is good, not spectacular, and mine seemed to come a little overcooked. A homeless person was outside the front door when I came in.The ambience is nice so I'd give it another try but don't expect gourmet food. It's more of a bar type restaurant.

We went for dinner at the Steakhouse on a Saturday @ 7:30pm. The dining room was full, so we were offered a table in the adjoining bar room. The bartender, Virginia, provided great service. She worked solo attending to the bar & the dining patrons as the bar room tables quickly filled in. We ordered a wedge salad & a Caesar salad that had white anchovies. Our dinner order was salmon, lobster ravioli & a side dish of asparagus. Disappointed that the ravioli was served cold. Otherwise the food was very good. My husband and I recently ate here on a Friday evening. Our server was great and got us everything we needed. Both of our steaks were cooked to a perfect medium rare. We loved our sweet potatoes and other sides! Happy to go here and have a great steak dinner at a reasonable price.

Since the 1950's Al's Steakhouse has been serving up fine dining. It's evident from the furnishing and table clothes which have become a lost art of the past. We called and made reservations, upon our arrival we were promptly seated. Barbara took very good care of us and meal delivery was timed perfectly. Next time we are back in the Joliet area we will make another trip to Al's for a great dining experience. You won't be disappointed.

My server was certainly well trained, and competent. She, however, seemed overworked. Pacing was off, and I could tell it wasn't her fault. Really the most offputting thing about my meal was that my steak most definitely had sugar on it. I ordered a nice filet. It was cooked perfectly. It may have even been aged. It was ridiculously expensive, and it even had microgreens thrown haphazardly on the plate. But my god I think it gave me diabetes. I did my best to rescue it from the pool of syrupy juices upon which it was delivered. It was a travesty to fine dining to deal with the oddly sugared steak I was delivered.Thanks for the review. We'll let our chefs know about your comments on your meal. We appreciate the time you took to let us know.
