Some of the ribs where good, the rest was dry. Beef was medium even though it was ordered rare. Our waitress did not have an eye for details. Missing food on some orders and the drink orders was wrong. And got the checks delivered to the table before we had the chance to order dessert..Sorry Outback, but this was just not good enough.Tom,We are disappointed to see your visit turned out this way. We were fortunate to have dinner in this gorgeous restaurant while a thunder and lighting storm. The food and service were excellent but the lighting show was spectacular. Like most steak houses the pricing is quite high but the quality of the food and presentation make it worth it. They also have an amazing sushi bar with first rate fish and innovating dishes. Excellent location for a memorable night.

We decided to come here for dinner Christmas Eve. What a great choice. Brazilian is always easy when you have diverse food demands (we had a vegan, a pescatarian, some light eaters and quite a few meat eaters). They have a salad bar option which helped on overall price. Salad bar was smaller than other places, but well stocked. Most importantly, it was good. Meat options had zero complaints.Staff was a bit busy and the place was full. That did negatively impact the overall experience. It took some time to get the meal service started. But everything was smooth otherwise.Note to management: Talk to your front desk person. She is simply awful. Rude. Unfriendly. Not happy to be there. At first I thought it was just me, but other members of our party (who arrived at different times) all commented about how negative and rude she was without being asked. Then I overhead some neighboring tables share the same thoughts. She doesn't match the pleasantness of the rest of your staff and certainly isn't someone who you want making your first impression.

Last nights dinner was the most ridiculous meal we have ever had. I’m sure it’s their latest gimmick to bring your food on plates that have been “nuked” but it’s something we could have done without. And why it comes on the smallest plates ever I’ll never know. We had to ask for a large plate each so that we could put our meal together, I’m not used to eating off three different plates at the same time. The new plates were so hot that it carried on cooking what had started out as a nice steak but ended up far too well done. My dinner spat hot and I mean very hot fat all over my face and clothes. My meat also kept cooking and the potatoes sizzled. I like a warm plate for my food but those plates are just stupidly dangerous. How on earth could you take children there without spending the whole time on guard. Would not recommend for that reason alone. An expensive waste of time.Thank you for sharing your feedback. At Ruth's Chris, we are known for our sizzling 500 degree plates, designed to keep your last bite every bit as hot and delicious as your first. In the future, please let us know if you do not wish to have a hot plate and we will be more than happy to oblige. We hope to welcome you back in again soon!

A number of great Seattle steakhouses have, over the years, added branches in Bellevue to cater to the affluent tastes of the area's diners (often transplants from Seattle themselves if not newcomers from other parts of the world). Of these, El Gaucho comes the closes to making its signature steaks equivalent to the Seattle outlets. Our most recent meal here (a birthday dinner) was no exception. Our tenderloins were cooked to perfection and followed a wonderful crab cocktail and crab cake appetizers. The lobster mashed potatoes was almost as good as their sister restaurant's (AQUA, but no longer on their menu) and the serving for two on this side dish wasn't excessively large. For dessert we ordered the cherries jubilee and weren't disappointed with either the spectacle of its preparation or its taste. It's simply one of the best cherries jubilee in the country. They have a substantial wine list as well as some unique cocktails. Rather than order an entire bottle of wine (well, it was a Monday night and work beckoned the next day) we enjoyed individual adult beverages which we could match better to our appetizer/entree/dessert choices. It was all good. So why only a 4-rating? Well, compared to the original El Gaucho in Seattle, the atmosphere is just a little more suburban. Instead of the subdued lighting in Seattle you get more "wide open" ambience. Now this is OK for many but it's just not the same for us. The location in Bellevue also leaves a little bit to be desired and parking is a bit hard to decipher if you've never been there (use the valet parking if that's the case). However, avoiding a trip to Seattle has almost become a mantra for many eastsiders so it's great to have a little bit of Seattle's heaven near us so we can avoid the hell of travel to anywhere near downtown Seattle. But do know it'll cost about $200/person to enjoy the experience.

The steakhouse is conveniently located on a high-end shopping mall. The staff are extremely respectful and polite. They provide many choices of steak, all to high standards. Medium is the best steak here as it is tender but not too raw. They also provide you with different types of salt although I recommend the Black one from Hawaii. The dessert is also very nice with the volcano cake with whipped cream being the best but also handmade icecream: Kentucky chocolate and white chocolate strawberry
