Reviews on Soups food in Courmayeur, Valle d'Aosta, Italy. Courmayeur is a town and comune in northern Italy, in the autonomous region of Aosta Valley. At an elevation of 1,224 m (4,016 ft) above sea level, it is located at the foot of the southern side of Mont Blanc, at 4,810 m (15,781 ft) the highest point in the Alps and western Europe (see Seven Summits), and is crossed by the Dora Baltea river. Courmayeur shares administration of Mont Blanc with its neighboring commune of Saint-Gervais-les-Bains in France, and is consequently able to claim the title of highest commune in Italy. Courmayeur also shares access to the glacial ski run of the Vallée Blanche with another French town, Chamonix, which sits at the opposite, northern, side of the Mont Blanc massif.

We enjoyed the recommendation of local wine and foods from a very kind waitress who lavished attention on our young children. She brought them lots of freshly baked bread and recommended a great gelateria for later. We sat outside on a lovely patio and enjoyed our meal very much. The boar tagliatelle was amazing!

Characteristic mountain house situated in the heart of the most beautiful village of Courmayeur, with a beautiful view of Mont Blanc. Our specialties: raclette, fondue bourguignon, fondue chinoise, valdostan fondue, fondue savoyarda. You can find many hom
We ate inside as it was raining, and the place is a bit gloomy and cramped, with the tables squashed together. There were several waitresses of varying degrees of friendliness and professionality.I had the polenta valdostana, presentation ok but the beef stew was more of a boiled beef and the mushrooms were pretty tasteless. Overpriced for the dining experience offered.I gave average as the rating because the food isn't awful or inedible but I wouldn't recommend it.

This restaurant offer clients "menu serali inverali con comprensivi di trasporto con gatto delle nevi husky e motoslitte", which is a night ride to the restaurant with motorised sledge bikes or snow plough tractors .... what it fails to tell you is that you are forced onto the tractor, a 20 minute ride up a very windy, bumpy road with narrow paths. They will not depart until they have crammed 16 people into it, and saying the ride is uncomfortable is an UNDERSTATEMENT! Food was mediocre to say the least, and service is like being in a fast food restaurant. The driver of the tractor was also extremely rude and decided to skip our kids turn on the sledges in favour or other italian guests, for no other apparent reason other than "he could choose and do as he pleases"! Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy......

We visited this mountain restaurant whilst Skiing and found the warmest welcome with nothing being too much trouble. The food was of a very high quality without the usual massive mark up found in many mountain restaurants. My Italian is very limited but their English was very good (as was the German French and even a little Norwegian). Very pleasant seating area and if you just wanted a drink there was a bar downstairs. A huge choice of food cooked to order which was produced before you got to the checkout. The menus on the wall were in English and Italian. Excellent value, if we are ever in that area again that's where we will eat.

The reviews are right. The food and atmosphere are really excellent. The food menu is immense - there must be every 'standard Italian restaurant' dish known available. And yet, everything was fresh and tasty. The tiramisu desert was stand out.The reviews are also right about the staff. Not charming or welcoming. But efficient and fine, like a Parisien brasserie. Just go with that expectation and enjoy everything else.Value is good. 2.5 courses, no wine, 4 bottles of water between 3 of us was under â¬100. Gluten free pasta was available for one of our party who requested it.The restaurant is visible from the main Mont Blanc tunnel road (although once inside the restaurant you are only aware of the mountains not the road). This is a great dinner/lunch stop for someone on this route. But it would also be a very charming, quite smart, dinner stop if staying in the area.

Bacon, dried beef and chestnuts Gnocchi with fondue Humid with polenta or smooth Stew with mushrooms, sausage, carbonada, deer Homemade desserts House wine and coffee and other tasty dishes to choose We organize dinners and lunches, settled for events.
We'd hoped to have supper here but only lunch was available the day we were there. We were warmly welcomed by the friendly and efficient waitress despite the place being really busy. The local wine recommendation (Enfer) was spot on and the polenta was really tasty. The desserts were great too.Would definitely return.

Paola and Nicolaâs restaurant offers the best food in Courmayeur by a mile. The innovative menu which combines creations from Sardinian and Val DâAosta specialties are simply superb. Each season they introduce some novelties but the quality of ingredients is always great. The ambience is super cozy. The hosts are super welcoming and gentle. Perfect place for lunch in the summer outdoor and in winter for lunch or dinner. Super recommended!
