The Crown and Kitchen was taken over by current owner Billy Robertson in 2013. The site, which had been a bar for many generations, lay closed, and Billy and his family poured time and effort into transforming it to a vibrant, friendly, welcoming establis
Stayed early September for one night this place is a great pub and the room was really well set up, very clean and had a fantastic shower/ roll top bath. The team were all really helpful from the moment we arrived until we left couldnât find anything negative to say The food was fantastic at night and also the breakfast was local produce and cooked with care and attention to detail We will be back in November to this chill out pub for a stay over hopefully for two nights On street parking at no cost and thereâs a coop down the road for any forgotten things, only 6 miles or so to north Berwick lovely beach area We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed everything about your stay and that you'll be returning to us so soon. If you enjoyed the beach in North Berwick you may also love the ones in Dunbar, which is again, only 6 miles away. You should check them out when you're next here, we look forward to seeing you in November!

Small café serving homemade food from breakfast, soups, lasagne, toasties, baked potatoes pies and cake!
In Musselburgh with my 20 year old son today and we were starving and this wonderful cafe was first place we came across so nipped in...so glad we did. We both had soup and a toastie with a soft drink then I ordered tea and the carrot and walnut cake(love a homemade cake) which was soo delicious and fresh. Staff were wonderful and looks like the type of cafe you would want to work in. Cafe was full and everyone in there were all relaxed and really enjoyed themselves as lovely welcoming feel about the place. If back in Musselburgh I wil definitely be back. Prices were really good...very impressed.

Great coffe and bacon butty . poor cook was running the whole place on tha busy Sunday morning whilst her helper was useless, making the cooks job much harder ... poor lady. Helper needs to look for another job as everythinng she did was wrong ,,, comical :)

On arriving place looked "closed up" as the surroundings outside are very untidy, but there was a sign stating "we are open". Not the best of welcomes from what would appear to have been the owner. The menu seemed good but the items on the board were unclear as they were written in a "scruffy way" with no prices. We decided on soup and a sandwich so we were recommended "the combi". Soup was delicious but was like a taster portion in what looked like a shallow plate, but sandwich was good. Scone aferwards and tea/coffee for 3 came to £32 which we thought was quite expensive for the standard of the place. Doubt we would rush back.

We had not visited for 3 years, but the welcome and scones were just as we remembered. We were welcomed in, as was everybody else that visited. The hot chocolate was delicious as were the cheese scones.Well worth dropping in on a wet day, as we did, or a dry day.

Our light and spacious café is situated in a beautiful listed stone building, with a sheltered courtyard where you can sit and enjoy some of our artisan tea or coffee. We believe in good simple food, freshly prepared using local produce and keeping very m
We ordered mixed sandwiches for 20 people for a pre-wedding lunch and were not disappointed. There was plenty of choice and the bread was really tasty. We supplemented the order with some large homemade sausage rolls which soon disappeared. A great choice, weâd return if we could.Thank you for your review. I'm glad you enjoyed the sandwiches and I hope you all had a wonderful time at the wedding.Kind regardsAnita
