In addition to being the most affluent city in the U.S., Plano is home to the headquarters of numerous top companies, making it a popular destination for business travelers to the Dallas area. Its proximity to Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington and other Dallas area cities makes it a perfect base for a leisure vacation, as well, with plenty of entertainment within reach, ranging from the Six Flags Over Texas park to Southfork Ranch. St. Andrew exists to change hearts, lives and communities with the love of Christ. The life of the Apostle Andrew, the first evangelist, embodies the church's aim of spreading the word of God and loving our neighbor. Our mission is “Calling the Christian-ish to become passionate servants of Christ.” Worship features four services each weekend on a 21.2-acre campus at the corner of Plano Parkway and Mira Vista in Plano, Texas, where around 2,000 people gather each weekend at the “Best Place to Worship in Plano,” as named by the readers of the Plano Star Courier. Our missions span locally and internationally, including The Storehouse of Collin County – offering food pantry and social services to Collin County residents – and 4 Corners Global Outreach, which improves health care and quality of life for remote villages in Costa Rica.

Prestonwood Baptist Church is “a church to call home” in the sprawling Dallas Metroplex. Led by Pastor Jack Graham since 1989, Prestonwood is thriving with more than 43,000 members, two campuses, seven weekend services and hundreds of ministries that exist to reach the region, the nation and the world for Christ.
We are new to the Area and learned of this fantastic church through word-of-mouth. The services here are as inspiring as I have ever seen. The message comes through loud and clear, and full of the Holy Spirit. The electronics and acoustics of this church are a marvel to behold, the congregation itself is visible and spiritually exciting and the vibes you walk out of church with are sure to help you through the week with Jesus by your side.

My family and I have loved going to downtown Plano for many years now. When my kids were little they loved to see and ride the DART train. Later, with all the exciting new business we kept coming. Urban Crust is an amazing Italian restaurant, 14 18 a favorite coffee house, Jorg's Viennese restaurant is great too! My last visit with friends was to the new coffee house XO coffee company, I am so excited there's a new great place for coffee and dessert. Also we've been to Hub Streat, we enjoy the patio and trying the different food trucks.

The Boardwalk at Granite Park is a family friendly place to relax and have some food and drinks. It is not you typical long boardwalk, but rather a short one that surrounds a pond and is on the opposite side of hotels and shopping. There about 8 restaurants/cafes at the boardwalk with American, Mexican, and French among them. Most of them have both indoor and outdoor seating. In addition there are areas for seating and a fire pit close by the water. In most areas they have installed artificial turf and the kids find this a better choice for sitting around and playing. I would recommend this for almost any type of visit including couples, families, or business.

Calvary Chapel Plano has been my family's home church for over 14 years. We love it so much that we drive 45+ minutes each way every Sunday. There is no better church around that will take the word of God and teach it verse by verse. And then go into detail and depth of the verse being taught to give us better understanding. There are also a lot of ministries that you can get involved in, like the men's ministry, women's ministry, couple's ministry, youth ministry, book clubs, movie nights, hallelujah night, and so much more! There is truly something for everyone! And the people there, from the moment we walked through the front door, were so welcoming and poured out so much love on us that we instantly felt right at home.
