Visitors to Vasquez's studio, located in the downtown of Teotilan del Valle where weaving is a popular occupation, can view the weaving process from start to finish.
We had an amazing tour from a member of the family and I learned about the true art of weaving and especially of using natural dyes. I bought a small weaving for my grandsons but I could hot help but splurge for myself- with a gorgous tree of life rendition done by the grandfather Isaac Vasquez. It is such a beautiful thing - I feel honored to own it. This is where you go to see what must be one of the top weavers in the country. I learned a lot and felt so well treated. Gorgeous things to see even if you don't buy.
