Wing Commander can never fly by Stonetown Cheese without a drop in. Fresh Curds? Not my choice. Many many love them. Let’s have a look ... A home town varietal of goat, cow and array of award winners, something to please any cheese lover. For a home run on your charcuterie board ... Say cheese please. Q-Trip: For the return of road warriors; Grand Trunk or any Stonetown cheese with a few almonds and chocolate takes the miles off the road. Takes hours off the lost time in line-ups.

I spotted this store from across the street and decided we would stop on our way back uptown (ST. Mary's). As we entered, we saw that the place was jam packed to the point one could hardly get down the isles. The owner, Bruce, a most convivial and genuine man, introduced us to his little empire and then left us to browse. Right off the bat, my wife found a fantastic framed picture of a WWI aircraft on a bombing run. I am an avid fan of war planes in particular so she showed it to me. The price tag on it was $18. I could not believe the price was correct because you can't even buy a wooded frame nearly for that money. But the price was RIGHT! I bought that along with some other items and after paying (cash only accepted) Bruce walked us out to the store front where he proceeded to tell us all about St. Mary's, about the historic buildings, about his fellow merchants, you name it and Bruce was a walking encyclopedia when it was to do with St. Mary's. Bruce, along with "Aunt Millie" who runs another shop in town, made our little adventure great! Thanks to both of them for their genuine hospitality and friendliness.

This is our go-to place for chocolate. We often buy a box as a souvenir gift for friends or for each other on special occasions. I love the almond crunch, my partner likes the dark chocolate. In addition there's lots of gifts beyond the candy. It would be perfect if only they had peanut brittle as well. But then I'd be in even more often!
