Seoul is the business and cultural hub of South Korea, where skyscrapers tower over Buddhist temples. Take it all in from the N Seoul Tower, built atop a peak in Namsan Park. The teahouses and shops of Insadong give you a taste of Korean flavor, which you can further experience with a visit to the grounds and museums of Gyeongbokgung. UNESCO World Heritage Site Changdeokgung Palace is a fine example of authentic ancient architecture.

For all living in gangnamgu and seochogu area, this is the best place for grocery shopping as well as clothes and all as it is supermarket, outlet and department store complex. Many restaurants with reasonable price as well. Visiting a supermarket is one of my joyful activities in every city I go and this place is definitely the one in Seoul.

Samsung d'light is an exhibition space built to let you have fun with Samsung's most innovative technologies. Find out something new about yourself and place yourself at the center of a whole new world that you build.
We were exploring the Gangnam area when we stumble into this Samsung d'lite exhibition storefront. We did not know what to expect and thought perhaps it was a retail store for all Samsung products. For sure there is an level that does sell retail current electronic devices but it is much more than that. This building highlights Samsung's latest technologies and is a global exhibition place that exhibits the latest product lineups. Where else can you try the latest in Samsung products and experience interactive devices. It was very much an educational experience to learn about the production of products and to view future product developments. You can easily spend two hours there and the best of all is that it is free!

One of the best department stores in Seoul, Shinsegae is in a very central location, next to the Express Bus Terminal. It is attached to the JW Marriott hotel, to the underground mall and to more shops in Famille Street. The dept store has everything one can think of, all luxury brands that you can imagine, plus the usual dept store selection. In the basement a grocery store as well as tons of food stalls with all kinds of western and asian food, plus wine and other retail. There is nothing that I can think off that is not there, if not at Shinsegae, then in the underground and above ground malls that are adjacent. Plus plentiful dining options. A great place to go and stroll around plus have a meal.
