Well yes this is a five star hotel, but if you are used to the big city hotels then you maybe in for a shock. This is a very old building, so a very, very old hotel. Tiny stairs and lots of rooms in strange places, a bit of a rabbit warren. Great feeling though. Staff great, meals really good, rooms comfortable and clean and well serviced. Felt a little bit like a step back in time but fun for all that. Thanks for a great stay.

Fresh, local, simple. Good Food.
We found this restaurant after arriving in Port Issac after a days sightseeing. The restaurant looked inviting and upon entering we were greeted warmly and taken to our seats upstairs. We both ordered the scampi monkfish to start and fish and chips for main. The food was so mouthwatering, the batter so light and crunchy. We found the whole experience brilliant, so much so we travelled back from Tintagel the following evening to eat there again.i think that on a friday and weekend this place would be rammed so booking ahead may be wise, however in saying that we did ring on and off for about an hour to book and although we got through to "push 1 for reservations" it then rang continually.

We have heard good things about this restaurant and where most defiantly not disappointed! In fact all expectations were exceeded. The choice of menu catered for all taste and when the food arrived, it not only looked appealing, but tasted absolutely delicious! Full of freshness and flavour and every dish was cooked to perfection (including 5 steaks all cooked perfectly!) The customer service provided was excellent and food was priced well! Cant wait to pay another visit!

Amazing! Loved every single part of this evening despite the rather ordinary weather! We were treated to the chefâs party table and served by Josh with a wine flight to accompany all the delectable degustation courses. Very fitting wines, including a sparkling Japanese one (who knew?!), for a rather tasty menu. Husband was impressed and he is a fussy sydneysider when it comes to seafood. Already planning my return visit to fill up all the bar stools. Thank you for such an amazingly tasty and fun evening
