Nihavent is an extraordinary pub, run by a larger-than-life man (as locals call him "Ayi Ahmet Abi") and his family. If he is around say hi and enjoy a warm exchange of laughter and stories.It is an ideal place to sit, drink and talk. Quite enough to chat but alive with people, music and action. Prices are reasonable, beer is cold and food is delicious. Even the most basic dishes such as fries feel somehow different and better.The entrance is a bit hidden in a narrow alley, however the bright LED signs show the way. If you are a smoker the smoking area is easy to reach and comfy.Sinop is an extraordinary place with extraordinarily nice people but this place surpasses the Sinop average. We went there everyday to call it a night.

Location wise, this is the best restaurant in Sinop (it's located on a floating pier) but other than that, our experience there was not satisfactory at all...We called this restaurant to make a reservation and we specifically asked for the type of fish we wanted and the person who answered our call said they had it. But when we went there, we learnt that they don't have it, we thought it might have been finished by the time we arrived but the waiter said no, they did not have it for the last two days... we received no apologies... we still ordered, the meals we had were disappointing, especially stuffed mussels were awful but shrimps were very tasty. We ordered a second plate of shrimps, it never arrived despite two reminders...Finally we decided to leave, asked for the bill. When the bill arrived, we wanted to make sure that they did not include the second shrimp plate which never arrived and we discovered that, yes, second shrimp plate was not included but lots of other dishes that we did not order at all were on the bill.... We asked for an explanation and it was simple: that's next table's order mistakenly added to our bill... we received no apologies at this stage either...So, yes, the location is unique but so is their ethical approach... I recommend to stay clear of this restaurant but in case you really want to eat here, be careful with your invoice....

Tavsiye üzerine gittik. Güzel serpme kahvaltı ve ilgi çok güzel. Manzara ya ise diyecek yok. Harika. Otelde kahvaltı yapmak yerine mutlaka buraya giderek manzaranın ve kahvaltının tadını çıkarsınlar.

The fish arrives daily from the local fishermen. I had Whiting for dinner. Huge platter - delicious. The kitchen is clean, staff are friendly and the owner speaks English. Choose your fish in the market below and the chef prepares it. You canât go wrong.
