Reviews on Seafood food in Isle of Mull, Scotland, United Kingdom. A trip to the Isle of Mull isn’t complete without a visit to the Tobermory Distillery, one of the oldest distillers in the country, and a snort of their single malt Scotch. Mull was first settled around 3000 B.C., but thankfully much of the island’s rustic natural beauty has been preserved. Explore the deep-sea cavern of MacKinnon’s Cave, try to solve the mystery of the Lochbuie stone circle and play royal at the 13th-century Duart Castle.

Another local Michelin recommendation failed. Highland Cottage in Tobermory is no longer open to external guests. Ninth Wave in Fionnphort is very overrated.Pennygate offers meals in a tastefully refurbished old house. Choice is limited, also wine list would benefit from improvements.Food good, and not one inch more.

Called in for lunch on Wednesday about 1/2 hour before service stopped.Place not very busy but order taken quickly and food arrived soon after. My wife ordered the leek & potato soup and I went or the Cullen Skink. Both were reasonably sized portions and my Skink had lots of chunky pieces of excellent oak smoked haddock and was thoroughly enjoyed along with the home-made bread which had a soft crumb but a lovely chewy crust!Would have given 5 stars were it not for the fact they'd charged me for 2 drinks apiece when we only had one so had to have the bill amended.

Popped in here for lunch whilst visiting Tobermory. Sadly they were short staffed and whilst open were only doing coffee and cake (although there looked like at least 3 members of staff standing around). Coffee was delicious.

Had a meal here having sailed from Dunstaffnage to Tobermory. The restaurant is very traditional with a marine theme. The menu has a large selection of seafood on it, presumably locally sourced. Ours meals were very good and the service was efficient given it was a very busy Saturday night.

Open seasonally, mid March till the end of October every year - this small inauspicious fish restaurant is fast gaining nationwide recognition as one of the best and most exciting places to eat in Scotland. With a superb location & stunning sea views on t
It''s always nice to eat outside, and here there is the opportunity eating local fish cooked really well inside or out. On the day I went there I had a mackerel dish off the specials board, 2 nice sized mackerel with baby potatoes and veg. very busy in Mid sept so can imagine its hammered in high season...

Food is extremely tasty! I recommend the duck! It's not the cheapest of places but the food is worth it. There isn't much of you're wanting a lighter dish or a cheaper lunch except for a burger or fish and chips for around £12. Nothing to order for our 16 month old as children's menu is £6 per dish with large portions which is not worth it for the amount she eats and as said there aren't lighter dishes to order. This wasn't too problematic as the staff were happy for us to give our daughter a packed lunch that we had in the car. All in all, food was gorgeous and we would return again for a treat!

Intimate seafood restaurant owned by Fisherman/Chef, Husband and wife team. The menu changes daily allowing us to serve the freshest ingredients, sourced from local fisherman's catches and crofter's bounty. Our Croft-grown produce and Organic Meats figure
We recently had dinner at the Ninth Wave, with great expectations and we were not disappointed. We tried the 4 course meal plus the cheeseboard. Lobster, crab, halibut..everything was perfect, combining freshness and creativity in every course. I've found the dessert based on coffee a bit too sweet, but I admit I'm not a big fan of sugar. The cheeseboard was also very good, a perfect conclusion for a great meal. Service is friendly in a nice atmosphere.

Restaurant is open for dinners, Monday to Friday 6.30pm till 8.30pm. Creating beautiful dishes out of the amazing produce from the land and sea around us. We're looking forward to making your evening an enjoyable one and sending you home full and happy. L
After reading the reviews on TripAdvisor, I booked this lovely restaurant in advance. I was not disappointed. Food was amazing. The fish cooked to perfection. My husbands claw and turf was stupendous. We even had 3 courses. I never eat dessert but it would have been rude not too after a faultless starter and main. Cannot recommend enough if visiting the area.Service was great too.
