I had an amazing night dining at "La Capannina Restaurant" the food was fabulous and the customer service was excellent. We had grilled octopus on a ginger potato mash: Superlative!Followed by a great suggestion of starter from the owner: fried baby octopus, calamari, prawn cocktail, mussels soup, backed sardinia and whitebite frittelle: Delicious. All of this accompanied with a great bottle of white wine.As a main course we really enjoy the sea urchin' spaghetti. A delicious pasta made with the row eggs of the sea urchins. A result of creamy pasta without cream. We also tried the spaghetti with clams and fettuccine with red prawns, crashed pistacchio and cherry tomatoes. All this matched up with another delicious white wine. Staff is well prepared to delivery a good custimer service with attention to details.I really recommend to everyone!!!

Pochi tavoli all'aperto, qualche tavolo interno.

this was perfect experience about sicilian food. we were really amazed. it was plenty of really delicious food and for great price. they are very nice and able to cook on your demand. we asked for vegetarian food for me, and it was not problem at all. We had 8 starters and 6 from that was vegetarian! I was really very happy about this. staff was just perfect, food was perfect, we were happy.... great experience. thank you for perfect dinner!

Typical restaurant with seating and services with local Sicilian products (bread, pasta, pizza, calzones, pizza, pasta with pesto trapanese, pasta dishes and second, cassatelle, Genovesi, etc.) with ample parking, located on the road to San Vito Lo Capo.
My family visited Mario bar yesterday for a lunch, following Trip Advisor recommendations. Both tasted bussiale were delicious (especially Trapanese with fresh tomatoes). Caponata and tuna steak were also very good.We can highly recommended this a bit hidden place :)

We had dinner here, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The owner/waitressâs English was as bad as my Italian but eventually we understood that only a few items on the menu were actually available.I had the local speciality, Pasta Trapanese, and my friend had a plainish tomato and cheese pasta. Mine was delicious and with a very different taste. The house red wine was excellent too.Donât expect any luxuries here. Itâs a basically furnished local bar/restaurant, but very friendly and I would highly recommend it. Iâd definitely eat there again if Iâm ever in the town again.

I feel I owe it to the Trip Advisor community to let you know how disappointing this restaurant is.It had been recommended by our hotel because it was right next door so we gave it a go. We ordered an entree of 6 mixed fish appetisers. The presentation was most unappetising. The platter consisted of smoked fish which was quite nice, but the marinated octopus was slimy, and the cubes of tuna were so over cooked they were like tough meat. A minced raw prawn concoction had an unpleasant flavour. We sent most of the platter back uneaten and complained to management, but they still charged us the full price and made no effort to even compensate with even a single glass of wine, which would have been a nice gesture. Our main course was a fresh grilled fish which was simply prepared and cleaned beautifully for us at the table. That was a nice touch, and the waitstaff were all very nice. Unfortunately the fish had no flavour whatsoever. The owner brought us the bill and was unapologetic, and not at all gracious, saying that many other diners do enjoy the entree platter. That didnât help our experience at all. He would be well advised to handle complaints in a nicer way!It was quite expensive too. We couldnât wait to get out of there!Fortunately, we had some terrific dining experiences elsewhere is San Vito Lo Capo.I feel i owe it to the trip advisor comunity to let you know how arrogant this lady is thanks to the hotel next door we Have many clients sent to us mainly because we mainten a high standard and specily of 100 per cent quality of food we mainten a small menu because we cook everyday fresh food i disagreed with this client because the starter was perfect i explained to this lady who complained of the freshness that around her about 50 persons we did note Have no complaints at all we had only compliments so i retain that the starter is correctly paid if the client instead of offending our food world Have said that this dish was not of her understanding i would have not included the starter on the bill and to her comment on the price that she found high in the entrance and at the table she saw the prices and she could have declined if she thought that we were expensive anyway i would like to say that the husbund was a real gentleman of his wife i prefer if is better not to comment saluti and by the way with the were you stayed we have been overbooked all year round maybe there Will be a motive
