Superb find, just serve what seems only crab or local lobster. Really reasonable and probably the best lobster I have tasted. Ours was grilled with garlic butter. Great location just back from the cliffs. THey do not yet serve alcohol but happily let you bring your ow. We had instead sparkling elderflower which was thirst quenching and ideal non alocohilc drink with seafood,

We visited Cromer during June when the weather was so warm. We bought dressed crab, cockles and scallops from the cottage shop of J. Lee Fisherman in New Street, one of the nearby narrow streets and then a large container of salad from Morrisonâs to go with them. We took them back to our hotel and what a delicious feast they made. We would highly recommend that you taste and see for yourself.

First time back this year, have had take always but not in the restaurant. Fish was good as was the batter, chips were good and just the right amount. The restaurant was heaving as we forgot it was still half term and there were plenty of families. Meal was good but not excellent.

My wife and I are locals and weâve been to hot rocks twice, and both times weâve had nothing but absolute perfection. The crab, lobster and friends sharing platter is amazing and incredible value for money. Thereâs nothing better than good seafood and Hot Rocks delivers. Friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, and delicious food. Perfect for an intimate date night or a casual dinner with the family. 10/10 would recommend!

Looked for a recommended seafood restaurant with an interesting menu . We booked as we knew it was very popular . We shared between us a huge seafood platter plus additional dishes. Excellent food and service within an Edwardian hotel . We enjoyed it so much we booked in for Saturday evening for non seafood dishes and again the food was excellentThank you for your comments. I am delighted you enjoyed your visits to Bolton's Bistro

Hungry golfers fancied a bit of fish and chilled wine, thought this would be ok. On arrival almost changed our minds as it was a bit basic, the menu looked tatty and tired, but when the food arrived we were in for a treat. Various food bites that looked ordinary in the script turned up a treat. The main course of roast hake with cauliflower bhaji was a revelation. Very well done the chef. A good chilled Pinot Rosè and French Sauvignon Blanc Drank perfectly. The service light and fun. For seasoned foodies we left very happy. Give it a go.

We booked for a Birthday Party for my 90 year old Mother, two tables of twelve which were shoe horned in to a corridor with the walkway going between the two tables. No welcome or indeed congratulations passed to the Birthday girl at all from any of the staff. Painfully slow service from start to finish which necessitated going to see where the final main course had got to, as the rest of my tables food was going cold after a good ten minute wait. Desert was ordered with four of us wishing for custard to accompany our choices, another very long wait and finally the puds arrived, another wait and cream arrived, after another few minutes one of our party went to find the elusive custard only to be told they didn't have any. The loos are not disabled friendly or indeed friendly to anyone when it's raining! My Mother uses a push along walker to aid her, she required the use of the loo, which was up two steps into the other part of the restaurant, over another step outside (Not great when it's blowing a hoollie and raining!) Along outside beside the building to access over another step into the loo (Who in this day and age puts the loo outside? That's something we were used to in the 70's at school!) A very disappointing visit for us.

Locally owned and managed. Located in the North Norfolk coastal town of Cromer. We source local produce where available and present the finished dishes for reasonable prices.
Another independent breakfast place on my list. Excellent place with an interesting menu. First visit I had Eggs Benidict which compared to the one I had in a new Slug and Lettuce in Nottingham was 100 times better. My friends all agreed we would come again on The Sunday. Everybody tried different things on the menu. I imagine it's pretty cool in the evening as they have a vintage jukebox
