Good selection of seafood in a cheap, local restaurant. It is very local style restaurant but has A/C and nice service. Forget about using English here, however the menu has pictures and you should be ok with very basic Spanish to order what you need. Lemonade goes in 1 liter glass, shrimp cocktail (Coctel de Camarón) is as good as in La Anacua restaurants in Monterrey. You can try very good frog legs (Ancas de Rana) here breaded or grilled. It is across the street from the new Paseo La Fe mall, so in case you get hungry during shopping, forget the chain fast-foods and make sure to stop by in this little restaurant.

Delicious seafood from the pacific ocean. With more than 60 years on the market, we are the longest running seafood restaurant in Monterrey. Our famous heritage is found in our classic dishes. You may also find exciting new food for every taste.
This restaurant is a hidden treasure in downtown Monterrey. The food is great, is very fresh and clean, unlike many other seafood restaurants. The Caldo de Pescado, and Tacos Gober are a must. Plus they have a free salad bar where you can grab anything you want.If you are a seafood lover, La Jaibita outperforms its counterparts and at a great price!100% recommended!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Apodaca. This is a little hideout, need to know the locals to find it. But, the shrimp tacos are out of this world. Other fresh seafood items are available. Every meal will start with an oyster cocktail shooter. I will try to make it there at least once on my visits to Monterrey. They only take VISA credit cards, or Mexican currency.
Seafood taco shop,

Typical seafood restaurant with low-budget look and local style. Quite wide selection of dishes - fish, shrimp, fish tacos, ceviche but also steak. Portions are ok. Food tastes well. Environment is nothing special. It is just place to eat good food. Nothing more.

A nice place with very tasty food with a good selection. Great for hanging out, eating some nice seafood tacos while watching sports. I sampled a few different things, would definitely recommend one of the shrimp taco entrees. The prices are a bit high for Monterrey, probably because it's located in a plaza surrounded by American hotel chains for international business travelers. Still, comparably cheap to what you'd pay in the US or abroad. Not sure if this is always the case, but when we went, none of the staff spoke English, and I didn't see any English menus either. Not a problem for most US travelers such as myself, but just a precaution for anyone with zero experience with Spanish. Will definitely come back next time I'm in the area!
