Copenhagen was once a Viking fishing settlement, and you can still find traces of the Norse explorers here. Visit reconstructed villages, the remains of a 1,000-year-old castle, and museums dedicated to the notorious raiders. Copenhagen also features a blend of modern architecture and historical artifacts such as the Round Tower observatory – a wonderful example of 17th-century architecture. Art galleries, narrow streets, canals, parks, and Baroque churches round out the city’s cultural attractions.

We loved walking along the waterfront Langeline promenade & it’s proximity to our ship. Besides The Little Mermaid statue, there were many other sites such as, St Alban’s church, the Gelfion Fountain and the Peace Angel Statue.

As a proud Crucian woman, standing before this statue of Queen Mary, our queen of fireburn, I felt great pride! AWESOME is the word that comes to mind. The statue is regal as it commands Queen Mary looking out into the Canal of the country that she fought enslavement from. The details all around the entire statue is beautiful. Her face, clothes, machete, even the back of the chair...great details. LaVaughn Belle & Jeannette Ehlers, thank you ladies for such an honorable depiction of a fearless 'Warrior Queen'. This visit made my trip!
