My parents are regulars and love the Garden of Eatin. I have visited twice now and am sold. They really do have the best breakfast and service in the area!
While they serve the go-to comfort foods like biscuits and gravy, you can also order veggie options with fresh, quality ingredients.

If you are looking for a place to have a good dinner and a view of the beautiful Mississippi River, the Trempeleau Hotel Restaurant is the right place to experience it. The food is delicious, the service attentive and prompt. And the atmosphere of the enclosed porch is perfect for summer dining.

A group of us showed up tonight and werw met by Mr. Beedle, himself. He remembered the drink I liked the last two times I was in months ago. The essential oil infused drinks are famazing and tasty!! Our whole group tried almost every one! And they are going to start doing flights of them soon!! OMG!! Our waitress was perfect, the food was excellent. What more could you ask for. Ps. Any restaurant personally tended by the owners- is the restaurant that will treat you right. PPS. Salad and soup bar is something only a Wisconsin restaurant could provide. #atemyweight

River Cafe is situated on the Scenic Great River Road in Trempealeau, Wisconsin. A short distance from Perot State Park and the great Mississippi River. Our diverse menu consists of traditional breakfast and lunch items, healthy choices and vegetarian food. Come on in and try our homemade pies!! River Cafe is owned by Randy and Maggie Breidel. Randy is from La Crosse, Wisconsin and has been in the Restaurant business for 20 plus years as a cook, Manager and General Manager. Maggie is from England, she moved to the USA in 2008 when she married Randy, there will be British dishes on the menu such as the Full English Breakfast complete with imported HP sauce!!!
This is a friendly British/American run cafe. They have the standard full British breakfast as a choice, but lots of other things as well. Their french toast with raspberries was wonderful! It is a basic type of place and shuts at 2 PM, also not open on Tuesdays.

Trempealeau is a rather quiet town. The Pizza Corral was a wonderful find with pleasant staff and fantastic pizza.
We ordered a medium two topping pizza and could not eat it all. It was disappointing to not be able to finish as the taste was wonderful.
They serve more than pizza. The smell of chicken was mouth watering in the parking lot. If we had more time in the area, I know we would have tried more selections.

This little off the beaten path place is right on the water. Wings night on Wednesday is buy and can be up to an hour for food but people stay and they wait. Wait staff is wonderful. It only takes them once to remember what you drink and it is brought to your table upon your second visit. Only one person working the kitchen so do not come starving because you will have to wait. If you love dive bars with a Cheers atmosphere this is the place to visit.

You want a meal in a jail setting, you don't need to go to jail. This is the bar and grill to go to, "Where everyone likes to do time." LOTS of parking. Jail motif includes bars on the windows, car doors of the Minnesota and Wisconsin State Patrol, county sheriffs and other law enforcement concepts. The food menu is interesting with many jail house names for the burgers, etc. Order the Ranger burger. The burger was hot when served. Topping with plenty of cheese and all tasted fresh. Cheese curds were very good too. The tap beer wasn't the coldest, but the bottle beer was cold. If you want, you can even sit in the corner in an actual cell. Fun place. Waitperson was personable. Clean and modern looking inside. Prices reasonable.
